My son and I took the Eurostar from London St Pancras to Amsterdam Centraal for a long weekend. We stayed in the Room Mate Aitana, which sounds like a dormitory, but is actually a four-star hotel. It is about 10 minutes' walk from the main station along the waterfront and, as such, also a short walk into the old town.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights ahead of a river cruise.
The staff were very friendly.
The room was pristine with amazing views of the Amsterdam waterways .
The Spanish themed dinner was great .
Breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of cooked and cold dishes and freshly baked breads and pastries.
We had a slight problem with the bathroom which was taken care of very efficiently .

We had an amazing stay at Room Mate Aitana. The hotel was absolutely stunning, with beautiful views, spotless rooms, and such a calm and quiet atmosphere. Everything was exceptionally clean throughout the hotel and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming.

Amazing hotel! Beautiful, modern, and brand new, with stylish design throughout. The rooms are spacious, featuring large bathrooms and showers. The location is excellentjust a 7-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. We explored the city on foot every day and enjoyed walking everywhere.

Room Mate has always been my hotel of choice in Amsterdam.
The hotel is fantastically located on the IJ Dock away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. This is my favourite part of the hotel. Easily accessible from Amsterdam central station.
Its convenient to get to most places you need to from the hotel. Short walk to the station you can jump on any tram to get you where you need to be.
