    ABOUT THE HOTEL

    • Official Rating
    • Free Wi-Fi

This central hotel is a real favourite with guests, thanks to its great pool scene and nearby beach.

This compact hotel has just 130 rooms, giving it a warm, intimate feel. Outside there’s a big pool in among the gardens. And on the dining front, there’s a big buffet restaurant and barbecue nights.

The hotel’s on one of Argassi’s main streets, so there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. It’s a 5-minute stroll from the beach, while 5 minutes in the car will get you to the capital, Zante Town.

    Fantastic for October sunshine
    12 Feb , 2019 wsymin, 186474
Wonderful hotel in the heart of the town, nice compact complex but with lots of greenery throughout. Newer rooms are available but the older rooms are still of a high standard, just a bit more basic, but kept spotlessly clean. Lovely staff throughout the hotel who were always smiling as if it was nice to work there. HIghlight of the hotel is the food, fantastic selection of fresh food, cooked in front of you. No complaints and no empty plates is always a good sign. The chef also has his own cookbook for sale, so superb standard. We there early Oct so the town was starting to close down, but the light hearted entertainment was always funny in the hotel in the evenings. Nearly all adults whilst there, but the hotel was full. Sure it would be good for families but suited us as adults looking for a relaxing time. Only downside is that you pay for air conditioning, could work out quite a bit during the summer, although the hotel does offer some time free of charge for a limited time during the day. Local beach is near non existant although nice to view out to the water, only a few minutes walk. Take the mini train into Zante, great way to see about.
1st ever 2nd visit to hotel
    12 Feb , 2019 craig500, 186460
This is the 1st time we have ever revisited a hotel, as the last time we enjoyed the visit. This visit we had room 105 the room was clean decor ok but this room is close to the reception and bar so you could not sleep until after 2am when the bar closed we are early risers so only got 3 hours sleep a night. Food the same as last time good the most of the staff very good except one of the staff we seen been cruel to 1 of the kittens. The entertainment hasn't really changed and we didn't find much to to in the area as we normally like to go for walks but not best area for walking, so you need a car to do anything. Over all a bit disappointed but if you want a week away and like to stay close to hotel you will be ok.

    Lovely quiet town centre hotel.

The first thing I noticed about the Diana Palace upon arrival was how central in Argassi it was which made me a bit nervous about how noisy it would be at night, but I needn't have worried as our room was very quiet. Sure like any hotel you will hear a bit of noise from surrounding rooms, but nothing from the surrounding town. We were fairly central in the complex so I can't say its the case for all rooms but ours was great. The room itself was quite spacious with a sink and hob unit with a fridge underneath and a nice balcony area overlooking the small pool. Upon our arrival we were led straight to the dining area for a bite to eat as we got there around 9 in the evening and though I think they were closing the restaurant we got a nice meal, before being shown to our room. As for the hotel itself, its nice and spacious with 2 pools with a pool bar beside the main pool, but we found the smaller pool to be quieter, at least for the first week, but more of that later, there is a bar in the reception area and a reasonably large restaurant though you can also eat in an area near the main pool. There is also an entertainment stage for the animation team with its own bar and there are different acts on each evening, the best being a Greek dancing night though this was held by the main pool, and the famous fire dancing. As I said the hotel is in a very central location. As soon as your outside the hotel grounds your right in among the shops and restaurants, and your only a short walk away from Argassi beach, though the beach itself is nothing to write home about, but not to worry as there are buses to all the better beaches on the island. Your also a short bus ride away from Zante town, though you can also walk it in around 20 minutes which I did on the last day, and Argassi itself has plenty of souvenir shops, bars and restaurants, and you can book tours, boat trips and other events from many shops nearby, we went on a boat trip to the blue caves and smugglers beach, and one to turtle island. A few other details about the hotel. Air conditioning is only available at certain times in your room but as we were barely in there it was enough for us. The wi-fi was more than adequate. The food was really nice with plenty of choices at each meal time and plenty of variation throughout the week. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels each day. The hotel staff were excellent and really friendly with special thanks to Nikos and Dennis. While we were there the main pool got quite busy so you couldn't always get a sun lounger but we preferred the smaller pool which was much quieter and sun loungers were always available. It doesn't have a pool bar but is right next to the animation stage so you can use its bar for cocktails and drinks. You only have a choice of one cocktail each day with full board unless you want to pay extra, but they change each day, and local spirits, wine, beer, soft drinks etc are all available. As I said the small pool was much quieter but this changed during our 2nd week which coincided with the start of the school holidays and the hotel started to fill up with more families and so both of the pools were much busier but we still got a lounger every day. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for families and anyone really, the staff are friendly and helpful, its right in the centre of town and we had a fantastic time and being July the weather was superb.
    Return trip for 60th Birthday

Well once again I could not fault Diana Palace and all its staff. My husband & I returned again after 2 years and had a wonderful holiday we could not fault the friendly staff who recognised us from our previous trip, Stathias Marcos Eleanor all fabulous people who go over and above to make your holiday extra special. Our friend travelled with us and it was a separate booking that caused nothing but trouble, but reception were absolutely brilliant and it was all sorted it did take time but the patience and time spent on correcting things was second to none I think most Hotels would not have taken time to deal with it. I would like to thank all the restaurant staff especially the matre de for the lovely cake and the birthday song and best wishes given on my big day. Diana Palace is a lovely place it is spotless the food is fabulous always something nice to eat the accommodation is spotless and anything you need you only need to ask and they will all do there best to accommodate you. Thank you all for another wonderful holiday we will be back again in October so looking forward to that. Happy new year to you all see you October xx
