This central hotel is a real favourite with guests, thanks to its great pool scene and nearby beach.
This compact hotel has just 130 rooms, giving it a warm, intimate feel. Outside there’s a big pool in among the gardens. And on the dining front, there’s a big buffet restaurant and barbecue nights.
The hotel’s on one of Argassi’s main streets, so there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. It’s a 5-minute stroll from the beach, while 5 minutes in the car will get you to the capital, Zante Town.

2 week get away
On arrival we were greeted by the lovely Angela and a very swift check in. We opted for the superior room so pleased we did, stunning, a huge bed, bathrobes, slippers and loved the Narnia wardrobe. We asked for a kettle and got it within minutes and our lovely housekeeper kept things spotless for us the whole time we were there. We opted for a jeep safari by Peter`s Tours so much fun and had lunch on a cliff overlooking a cove. As we are not pool people we hired a quad bike for 5 days and so much fun touring the island and ending up in some beautiful places and met such lovely local people who were so friendly and always happy to chat and help you as much as they can. Cannot comment on the food at the hotel as we only ate there twice the restaurant was clean if not rather bright, we sampled all the lovely tavernas in Argassi and the area too many to mention and local bars, must recommend Noto`s best coffee ever and gorgeous cocktails, Jungle bar cocktails and the Waves bar as well as the one next door, sorry cannot remember the name but a lovely setting by the sea having a meal and a drink or 2 when the sun is going down. The bar staff, what can I say except a huge thank you to Stathis and Marcus for looking after us so well, such gentlemen, the lovely Angela and our Demi Moore for helping us out on the odd occasion always had a smile and time for a chat with us. We didn't join in with the animation team much as it is not really our thing but everyone seemed to enjoy it but Beth so friendly and again always had time for a chat and a credit to the hotel, the guy on the team we didn't seem to click with/like seemed to have a bit of an attitude but perhaps that's just us. Would we go back, no, but not because of the hotel just because there are so many other places to see but the hotel offers 2 types of holiday in our opinion, if you just want to laze by the pool and join in the activities and eat, drink and relax there its ideal or if you want to use it as a base to explore the lovely island and meet the locals it is also ideal, however I think we came back on the right week as most restaurants and bars were closing down. Many thanks for a lovely relaxing stayMore
Not value for money
We arrived at DP on the 29th Sept and left on the 6th October. All in all we enjoyed our holiday but there are quite a lot of flaws with the DP Hotel. The staff make the hotel, if it wasn't for them I doubt they would even have the number of guests they had this time of year, they were friendly and approachable. The quality of the hotel isn't brilliant, it needs modernising and the room walls were paper thin (almost causing abrupt arguments as out neighbours were complaining about the people above them being too loud at 12 and 1am -ironic) the rooms were clean but the beds were uncomfy, shower was awkward to use and the only English channel on the tv was sky news- great when you want to watch a bit of tv whilst getting ready! The food wasn't great, there wasn't much choice at all (especially if you're travelling with kids, they have to put up with what adults get) Thursday's and Fridays are the worst nights for food (so take some extra euros, there are plenty of nice restaurants around the hotel) if you're looking for a holiday with nice all inclusive drinks, avoid it... The only cocktail that is free is the cocktail of the day (others are €3) The spirits and beer are really watered down (I just drank orange juice for my time there) the animation team were Ok, but certainly not the best, they were inappropriate at the best of times (shouting at or even moaning about the younger British girl in the team whilst in front of guests in the animation bar e.g. complaining about music still being played whilst lead is talking on the microphone) some of the entertainment was alright, again very repetitive. It was an enjoyable holiday (we rented quad bikes for 3 days and saw most of the island - best thing to do as transport/entertainment isn't great) If you're looking for a relaxing holiday where the food and drinks are average this is the ideal place. However if you want lots of entertainment, places to go, see etc and free cocktails then go elsewhere. THIS IS NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL - REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE HOLIDAY ADVISERS OR HOTEL SAY!!! More
Well we have just got home from 2 weeks at Diana Palace. Before booking I had read a lot of reviews and noticed one big factor that people were mentioning and that was the staff. When we arrived at the hotel the staff on reception were very helpful and gave us a cool drink, we went to our room which was very clean and spacious. We were just in time for lunch so went down, the food we delicious and a great choice on offer. To get to the restaurant we went passed the main pool with the bar. stafis was there he asked us our games and where we had come from and from that day on remembered what we wanted and our names. This went on throughout the hotel the staff all made you feel like one of the family. Demi the receptionist who was beautiful and so nice , even got emotional saying goodbye to her. Marcos on the top bar, always gave us a kind greeting top man. Dennis animation bar we had such a laugh with him, he’s a big character. Niko the waiter, such a hard worker, nothing too much trouble and he always chatted to us (top man). The beautiful Katrina the waitress with the biggest smile. The animation team are fantastic, Lina, Yaya And the lovely Beth, never too pushy but good at what they do. We have met friends for life with these and loved the evening shows, won quite a lot of money on the Bingo too. The people that come to this hotel are one of a kind, never had this with any other hotel, we have met so many people from over the UK, some will be friends forever. This is why people come back year after year and we will definitely be back. If you are thinking of booking this hotel you won’t be disappointed, get involved and have a laugh, Sorry one last thing the rooms cleaned daily by hardworking housekeepers. More
Remarkably Average - Surprised by the ratings
Came here with my other half for a week - we went fully inclusive. The hotel is nice and clean and staff are as courteous as you would expect. The room was also very clean and seemed very new which was nice. My issue comes with what I perceive as all inclusive 'tightness' - Air conditioning was only on at certain times, you have to pay for 24/7 which you will end up doing. The food was very average - appreciate you can make requests to the chef but that gets a bit tiresome when you're doing it at every meal, I guess they are catering for the masses so I wouldn't be too hard on them for that but found some of the best Greek food I've had in my life outside the hotel so really regret an all inclusive. Both hotel pools are small and over crowded - people slapping their towels down on the loungers at stupid-a-clock each morning. The second smaller pool is better to get a lounger but it's hard to see the pool under all of the inflatables in it. All inclusive drinks finish at 11 - after this you pay. Despite what the hotel management claim in their responses, it is some of the worst quality alcohol I have experienced - impossible to even get tipsy on it so don't bother and go outside of the hotel (to be fair it's pretty hit and miss outside too). Would say the majority of people staying here are either having their first family holiday or are people that return year on year - can't think of any other explanation for the rating. I'm not at all fussy but wasn't impressed and wouldn't return. More

4 Star Really??? Very disappointing
We were really looking forward to staying at this hotel after reading all the good reviews and noting that it has the Certificate of Excellence. We normally agree with the scores but not this time. Sadly it was a very disappointing experience for us. Yes the staff are very friendly and very hardworking. A Premier Inn is of much better quality and comes with a goodnight sleep guarantee. We did not have one decent night's sleep at this hotel. Food was tasty but choice was limited and after a few days it got a bit boring. The best food was the Asian meal. Beach towels were provided but along with the bath towels they were very worn and thin. Plumbing issues - the toilet sounded like a ship coming into port whenever it filled. The bathroom ceiling leaked twice from poor plumbing in the room above. There was sealant everywhere and it looked generally messy and dirty. We were offered an alternative room but it was tiny and didn't want the hassle of moving for our last three nights. One evening the water was dark brown out of the taps, due to a new delivery of water I was advised when I contacted reception. The walls were so thin and we could hear the other guests which was really embarrassing considering what they were doing!!! The bed was very hard and the other guests were sometimes very noisy in the echoing corridors. They were extremely inconsiderate. I had to contact the front desk to complain. Don't expect too much in the way of toiletries, 2 tiny bars of soap and a dispenser of some kind in the shower. Cleanliness - not as good as I would expect. The bin beside the toilet (containing used toilet paper) was not emptied on one occasion. It just felt very dirty in there and I hated putting my feet on the floor. We liked Argassi it was a lovely little town and we walked into Zante Town one day and got a taxi back which well worth a visit. If you enjoy walking like we do take care because once out of the main towns there are no footpaths and you have to walk on the road. The transfer from the airport was great too just a 15 minute ride in a taxi for 17 euros. We would return to Zante but definitely not to this hotel. If you look on the hotel's website make sure you are looking at the standard rooms and not the superior rooms, there's a big difference. Thank goodness we had fantastic weather and a sense of humour so the week was not a write off.More
