We had a very good experience at this hotel. Let me start by saying that you should not compare a 4-star American hotel experience with a 4-star European hotel (no matter where you are in Europe). The rating is accurate for the experience in the part of the world you are in.

Our experience at Athens Cypria Hotel was unfortunately very disappointing. After being ripped off by a cab driver on arrival, things didnt start well and sadly, the hotel didnt help turn it around.

The entrance to the Athens Cypria Hotel is very charming, and the staff are warm and welcoming.
My room was quite basic, with floating floorboards and minimal furniture, making it adequate for just a one-night stay. However, the blackout curtains were ineffective torn at the bottom and letting in light so, they really need replacing. A lovely hotel, food was good. Staff were very professional and friendly. Room was OK and very clean. One complaint i had which i don't know who got wrong...either easyjet or hotel. On my booking I had booked executive room with balcony. Booking said double/twin beds..when I booked in I was told they rooms have no twin beds. I had to share a bed with my son!! Wasn't happy at that....

Average hotel overall but really excellent location. We managed to walk to a lot of places we wanted to see. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was pretty good and there were lots of options. We stayed with our toddler so there was a cot in our room when we got there which was appreciated. However, because we had a pram we had to take two different lifts...
