Nazri Resort

I have been staying here on and off for years and I think it has improved somewhat since my last stay in 2017. The staff are on the whole really wonderful, smiley and cannot do enough to help. Pool area is great and breakfast is good, especially the dosa and omelette station outside. I think some of the rooms could do with a refurbishment as they are getting dated but that's the only criticism. I would recommend friends and family to stay there.

• Spacious bedroom with good pool view – furniture quite dated – cleaning was adequate, but not great – plumbing could do with some attention as the water took a very long time to flow out of the bath when showering – usually ended up standing in a few inches of water – very noisy refrigerator • Restaurant – breakfast not great – limited choice of cereal, fruits etc. – slow to replenish food, plates etc. that had run out – egg / omelette station was good • Staff – generally quite good, although reception ladies could do with some customer service training – suggest they spend some time with the young restaurant manager (sorry I think name was something like Derva? – although I may well have got this entirely wrong) who was outstanding – unable to say the same for his replacement while he took a few days holiday (which I’m sure was richly deserved) • Location – despite being in the heart of Baga the hotel is set back from the main road and you can’t hear any of the noise from the roads outside – and it is pretty noisy – Baga is not like Candolim or even Calangute – it is very busy at all times, particularly with road traffic. There are numerous restaurants and shops within a few steps from the hotel driveway – Calangute is about a 20 minute walk and another 15 to the outskirts of Candolim, where you can find relative peace and quiet. The Saturday night market at Arpora is about a 45 minute walk, passing a number of restaurants and bars on the way. The Wednesday market in Anjuna is a tuk tuk ride away – from Baga this should cost no more than 250-300 rupees with a bit of bartering.

My wife and I stayed for 16nights for the 2nd time and thoroughly enjoyed it again so much we are booking again next year. Excellent service by all the friendly and helpful staff, you're a credit to yourselves and the hotel
