Thankfully we only spent less than 12 hours in the room, but the experience was awful. We were told that the rooms were on winter settings and it was recommended that we keep the thermostat off. When we got to our room in the evening, it was already off, yet the thermostat read 27.5 C (81.5 F!). I even opened the window, but no relief! Exceptional Stay at Hotel Barcelona Center
Our stay at Hotel Barcelona Center was truly wonderful from start to finish. The entire team made us feel right at home Nora, Anastasia, Eva, and especially Mustapha each played a part in making our visit unforgettable.

The hotel is centrally located and close to Metro. There are several restaurants and bakeries nearby as well as a supermarket down the block. Unfortunately I would not rate this a four-star hotel. The female receptionist was not very welcoming. We were checked into rooms on the first floor, which apparently are seldom used. The towel rack in the bathroom had rust on the bars, and the hair dryer kept overheating and ...

We were told that this is a four star hotel. Having just come from the same in Madrid we were expecting a similar experience, however, that was not to be. My first room was tiny, and if I had been with someone else it would not have worked at all, but size wise it barely worked for just me. Rooms are old and unclean. Staff are rude unfriendly and abrupt. Very unhelpful.
There were only two towels in the bathroom for the whole stay. The safe was broken and never worked. They took the key from the light outlet and didn't return it. Will never stay here again. It's not worth the rate they charge for this old dusty place. It needs a serious refurbisemt. The front hallway has very dirty worn carpet. Never a...
