A quiet night in a very central location

I was surprised how quiet the room was in such central location. I slept well and thats why I recommend this place. I stayed in room 323 with a window facing tha patio not the street. The area near the cathedral was very crowded on Saturday night in December....

Extremely Disappointing Stay Poor Service and Unacceptable Standards.

1. Room Type Misleading:
We booked a double bed room, but were given a twin room instead. The staff insisted that bed types are randomly assigned and not guaranteed, which is absolutely unreasonable and misleading. Only after repeated insistence did they agree to make an exception and switch us to a double bed room.

PERFECT PLACE TO STAY

The Catalonia Catedral is located literally around the corner from the beautiful Barcelona Cathedral and has everything you need.
The rooms are large, so you are not in top of each other.
Breakfast is plentiful, the bar can accommodate afternoon drinks and there is also a restaurant if needed.
We walked everywhere as it is so handy to everything you need or want to see....

The staff was very accommodating to us, arriving early morning and wanting to have a nice room ready. Understandably, check in time was 3PM but, they gave us one room at least to lay down by 11AM. Really appreciated that flexibility. The whole place, ambiance, food and drinks at the restaurants exceeded my expectations. Recommend for everyone. Service breakfast and rooms are staff are great as well as location . Infront of the hotel there is a big department store . Very close to plaza Catalunya and passing de Gràcia . Mc , Starbucks and Burger King are also nearby....
