Room was nice and pool area, but staff, breakfest needs to be upgraded

Room was amazing, breakfest was awful if you compare to other catalonia hotels. Breakfest venue was miserable and cold. Pool area was lovely, room was spacious and relaxing, nice interior. Staff in reception could be more welcoming they seemed very exhausted and boared. I would return just for the amazing location and the beautiful room with terrace...

No safety, no cooperation by staff

It was a terrible experience.
My luggage was stolen from hotel lobby during checkin for which hotel staff took 0 responsibility.
There was 0 security at hotel gate/lobby.
Staff was rude & there ans were:
- we are not forced to have security
- we are not forced for corporation.
Feels like they were not concerned for guest but were concerned for thief.
Didnt expected this from 5 star hotel....

First time we have stayed in this Catalonia hotel in Barcelona and we were impressed.
We booked an executive room, very comfortable, the upgrade even gave us a plunge pool on the patio (unfortunately to cold to use)
Room was a reasonable size and quiet (a real positive)
Breakfast was excellent, big choice and a made to order omelette area.
We like Catalonia hotels and this is a very good one, we will return, it is we...

We stayed here with a travel group. We loved this hotel, its rooms, breakfast and bar. It was wonderfully located central to all attractions. Many small cafes, bakeries and shops within walking distance. Hotel staff including Mario were gracious, welcoming and helpful. I would love to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel....
