Absolutely wonderful stay! I truly do not understand several of the negative comments. The entrance is very unassuming, but dont worry - once you are inside the hotel is a dream. Rooms are large, comfortable and very well appointed. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Bathroom is large and modern. I felt like we were staying at a spa! The Catalonia Square Hotel was perfect for our short stay in Barcelona. The location is so central. You can walk to so many places including La Rambla. The Metro and Hop On Hop Off bus are so close. A taxi stand is also close by. The front staff were so welcoming. The bed felt like home which was especially important after our overnight flight to Barcelona. It is very quiet and clean. The hotel is in a great location a few minutes from Plaza catalunya La rambla. The superior room is nice and spacious with a balcony looking over the main road..The staff are very pleasant. Onky couple issues we thought the pool is small and the bar area is so quiet because they only offer one beer on draft they should have more selections of beers....

We had not intended to stay in this hotel and had booked another hotel (by Catalonia Hotels). That hotel had a maintenance issue so they transferred us to this hotel (paying for the taxi). This hotel is centrally located, can easily walk to everything (which we did).
The staff were brilliant, they stored our luggage whilst we explored the sites and it felt very secure. The rooms were huge and the shower was huge....
