After reading some poor reviews, I was a little tentative about coming here but my husband booked before I could comment. Anyway I neednt have worried. The hotel is perfectly located, spotlessly clean with really comfortable modern rooms. The reception staff are quiet but check-in was smooth and they were perfectly pleasant. This hotel is just 20 min taxi journey from the airport (£22) and 2 min away from La Rambla....

The hotel is lovely and the rooms are clean and modern. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the square outside, and it was worth it. There are stores and restaurants around the hotel making it very convenient to get a morning cappuccino, go grab some snacks, or go for an evening dinner and wine....

I am genuinely baffled by the positive reviews this hotel has had.
Location: its located off a side street off las ramblas. Las ramblas has a good end and a bad end, this is at the bad end with lots of homeless people, drug users and beggars. There is a hostel Right next to it which attracts this type of person.

Clean and comfortable, good soundproofing, close to La Rambla, but the lack of service makes it way overpriced at nearly Euro 200/night. No one to help with luggage, no laundry service, little enthusiasm from the daytime front desk crew. Service at breakfast was good, though food selection was limited and also overpriced. Maid service was good and efficient....

We booked and paid for a penthouse but the hotel put us in a standard room. They refused to refund us the difference in cost.
No coffee machine in rooms nor water.
Mould in the bathroom.
Very thin walls, can hear conversations in rooms next door....
