Modern hotel, about a 15 minute walk to La Rambla. Clean rooms w/ hardwood floors, good blackout curtains, uncomfortable beds, minifridge, safe, coffeemaker, 1 bottle complimentary water, hair/body wash wall dispenser, shower head in narrow bathtub w/ poor temperature control. I have never rated a hotel one star so I don't feel good about it but.....
To me, it was a one star experience. For the first time I decided to change hotel during my stay to save my city break. We have arrived late Friday and got checked in fast. Our room was located at the 6th floor with the view to the street. The room and hotel itself is super clean however a bit dated.

Dated hotel in a very secluded, quiet area part of Barcelona. Reception staff are friendly and knowledgeable, but thats where the positives end! The room was extremely dated with a rock solid bed that was similar to sleeping on concrete. The view from our window was a courtyard where the smell of bins would waft in constantly all night.

Air conditioning did not cool. In the heat of July, the air conditioning offered no relief. Public areas were also inadequately cooled.
Front desk was not welcoming or accommodating. They would sit there and watch you trying to access the elevator that was clearly not working without any comment or assistance. Our rooms were not ready despite being advised that would be available upon our arrival.
