Porta Fira is always a good experience.
No worries, be happy :)
Staff, rooms, breakfast everythings good for a perfect business trip.
Porta Fira also propose a fast way dinner (bar) or restaurant. Both have been a good experience even if I have to confess that quantity are tight enough....

Nice Stay

After a cruise I stayed at Hotel Porta Fira in Barcelona before my flight home. I chose this hotel for it's reasonable price, close location to the airport and it was close to a very nice shopping centre. An interesting round and red building made the rooms also interesting. The walls of the shower and toilet were frosted glass and they did the job. Staff were excellent and I was able to store my luggage as I arrived...

Awful slow check-in and checkout process

The checkin and checkout process was painful. It took us 30+ minutes to check in and there was no speedy way to checkout despite us needing to get to the airport. There needs to be a key drop facility. The reception team are so slow.
The room leave snacks and water out, its very misleading as it looks like they are free but they are part of the mini bar.
The room was comfortable. Breakfast was standard buffet....

Great experience- a port during a power outage storm

Just fantastic- have to say - this was a welcome respite when the power outage happened- so thankful to have a shower, lighting, air conditioning and a working atm on the premises during a city wide power crisis.
This helped me stay in contact with family back in the United States
Very friendly multilingual staff; very professional.

Please be aware thieves operate on the lobby and bar area . I had my backpack containing laptop wallet etc taken from under my bar stool whilst having dinner at the curved bar in the lobby.
Sadly the duty reception staff were not over interested in helping report this to the police and when I asked to speak to the duty manager, I was told there was no duty manager on duty until then morning - very poor!
