Minus for - Food can be much better. Pillow are very bad and the all of our family members get pain in neck due to the pillow

Hola! Travelled back to Benidorm with Jet2. We chose to return to Benidorm after spending 10 days in August 2019 with family and having a fab time. This time and our fourth New Years break away, this time in Spain. The Terralta apartments are clean, with friendly staff, nice pool including heated indoor pool and clean grounds. The rooms are clean, large and self contained. No oven but there is a hob and big fridge and freezer. There is also a microwave. Beds are fairly comfy and we had a large walk in shower. Heating adequate for winter. Food.....hit and miss. I have a bit of a fussy hubby when it comes to hotel food and this is basic ie fries, lasagne, fish, veggies, pastas, salads and soup choices plus other cold meats, cheese, beef pie etc. If something required the staff are happy to bring out more. Breakfast is a cooked English (and continental style ie croissants etc) but eggs are set as under heat lamps and bacon fatty and very greasy. There are choices and food is an individual and personal choice but in my opinion food can be improved. Our New Year’s Eve dinner wasn’t very good and lacked choice. Puddings are pastries and very sweet and creamy cakes. Not for me. Not much choice. My group wanted cheesecakes, nice ice creams and fresh cream but not available. The coffee machines are turned off for dinner!! Silly really as then you have to pay in bar for an after dinner coffee. Money for hotel.... Bar needs updating to look modern and fresh. Looks like a British social club. But staff friendly enough. Prices fair for Spain. Entertainment...lacks good entertainment in evening. Saw nothing during day but could be seasonal. Parrot show, bingo, short quiz. Basic. Enjoyed our stay as walked the long walk to town and beach. Steep hills so beware. If u have limited mobility take note. Would visit again as clean and friendly. But during summer months. Suitable for young children. Enjoy amigos! 🌴🦜🍊 Cheryl x

This was mine and boyfriends first trip to Benidorm - firstly Terralta was really nice, the staff and the shop assistance we’re really pleasant and friendly. From the hotel to the main strip (Levante Beach) it is about an hours walk - me and my boyfriend worked it out from where the main bars are along the strip from our hotel and it’s about 4 miles walk there and back. Some nights we did pay for a taxi which is €8-€9 and when you request a taxi from the main hotel reception it takes seconds to arrive. The shop sells all things you could would such as milk, bacon, cereal, fresh bread etc one night me and my boyfriend paid €12 for evening buffet which included all drinks such as wine, pop,juice, amstel beer on draft. The food was decent steak pie, paella, duck, rice, chips, salads, meats, cakes, fruits. Out side the restaurant is a book and it tells you what food is on each night. Evening entertainment is a bit dull just basic entertainment. You can walk down the hill about 20mins to the town where there is shops, food places, Burger King, cafes. I can only imagine in the summer Terralata is busy it is a nice place to stay and apartments are clean however it’s to far out from the main area and old town
