    The Floramar Aparthotel has an outdoor pool and a restaurant – all within easy access of the beach.

    Rooms here are bright and airy, and each features a kitchenette. There's a buffet restaurant* on hand, too, and occasional evening entertainment includes live music and children's discos. A spacious sun terrace comes lined with sunloungers and parasols, a pool and kids' pool in the centre.

    The hotel's in Cala Galdana on Menorca's south coast. It's a five-minute walk to a fine-sand beach, and 10 minutes on foot to the resort centre – full of restaurants, laidback bars and local shops.

    Stayed here for an October half term break at the Floramar. Booked self catering but had to upgrade to all inclusive during our stay due to the resort closing for end of season. Apartments spacious and modern. Great amenities and the best hairdryer i have actually used abroad! Nice big balcony, we were overlooking the back of the Hotel which was nice and quiet but would have preferred a room on the front because of the views. Lounge area with bar, a little too small for the size of the aparthotel. Struggled some nights to get a seat. Staff really friendly and helpful. Entertainment was good, Especially if you have little kids. A little disappointed on the final night there was no entertainment. Made the lounge feel like an airport waiting room! Food was average. Again small buffet for the size of the aparthotel but always something you could find to eat. Would go back to the floramar but as self catering. Apartments are perfect, modern, spacious and clean. Equipped with hob, kettle, toaster and utensils to make basic meals. Lovely walk in shower and the best hairdryer i have found in a Hotel! Lots of stairs throughout Hotel and only partly served by lifts. Pool area is spacious with plenty of sunbeds/chairs right next to bar, restaurant and lobby. Drinks are basic but do the job, only 1 type of cocktail per day and all taste very similar! Food is rather bland but again always something you can eat with nice fresh bread and varied salad bar. Entertainment was good, karaoke nights, dancers and musicians throughout the week, only disappointment was the final night of our holiday (Saturday evening) simply said on the noticeboard was the Entertainers 'day off' which meant our last evening was spent in the lobby that felt like an Airport waiting room. Wouldn't have hurt for them to put the karaoke on or at least a disco so everyone could have enjoyed it. Hotel is on a steep hill, which leads down to the resort and beach. Beach is fantastic, soft sandy and with clear turquoise waters. Perfect for families with young children as you can walk so far out with the water only reaching waist level. Beautiful views and very clean. Again as end of season the beach bars/restaurants had all shut but would be perfect in main season for a bite to eat/drinks with idyllic views! There is a restaurant/bar opposite the Floramar called Mason

    If you only have a few short days in Dublin, make sure this bar is on the itinerary ! I visited Dublin in November & December and each time visited this pub and it’s atmosphere as well as wide selection of cold & hot drinks plus food is something to view - however it is the live music which you must go for ! The talented musicians who we saw were all awesome & we could have easily spent an entire afternoon or evening there ! The decor is fabulous, very friendly staff and don’t forget their merchandise store just around the cobbled street corner !
    Self Catering would be ok, All Inclusive, not so much!

    Unfortunately we booked to stay here on an All Inclusive basis, had we been self catering then the apartment and hotel would have been satisfactory, staff are mostly friendly and helpful enough, the chap who does the kids club worked tirelessly with very very limited resources and did a great job keeping the kids entertained. The hotel is clean and tidy enough and has enough facilities, rooms are kept clean and are of a decent enough standard, a lot of positives overall, that is until we get to the massive negative. All Inclusive, the standard of the drinks served was very poor, but that was the least of our troubles, the food was very poor, little choice and what was there was not of a good quality, the children were catered for as long as they want to eat pizza and chips every meal. The staff seemed very tired and very understaffed and perhaps the issues were because it was the final week of the season, we had a great time and made the best of it, but cant give more then 3 purely because of the poor food, had we have been self catering it would've been a 5..
    A nice place to stay

    We stayed here the last week in October just as the season closed. (Unfortunate as we were self catering and every bar, restaurant and supermarket was closed by the Wednesday of our stay. Not the hotels fault but be aware if you plan a visit late in the season!) The hotel is situated on a hill so it’s quite a climb back up if you’ve been down to the beach or to the front where the bars and restaurants are situated. It’s a manageable gradient but be aware if you have small children, pushchairs or elderly in your party. The hotel is on four levels, reception being at ground level, then up two levels to the bar, restaurant and pool. Arrival and departure is via a door on level two at the rear of the hotel meaning you carry your cases down to reception to be allocated your room. There are two (small) lifts to go between floors but the point being the hotel is split over levels, like most hotels are but this is in a more disjointed layout. We can’t comment on the food as we were self catering but it always smelled nice. The bar was small but well stocked. We didn’t use the gym or games room. The pool was a good size with a smaller pool for small children. Varied entertainment each night and an earlier show for children. The hotel staff were friendly and efficient, the cleaning crew kept the rooms and the hotel spotlessly clean. Our room was nice and airy, well equipped and comfortable. Just a shame about the layout and the location.

    Just spent a week at the Floramar self- catering. We were in a one bedroom apartment which was very modern,very spacious and spotlessly clean with a large balcony. The Reception staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The Floramar is situated on an slight hill with a supermarket next door although not too big but is adequate for your needs. There were 3 restaurants nearby the Sa Lluna being the best. We had a very enjoyable week at the Floramar and if we return to Menorca then we would not hesitate in booking again to stay here.
