The hotel is fresh and very clean, a good verity of restaurants with excellent food. What really makes the hotel great is the staff, always very very service minded and always with a friendly smile! One of the best hotels i have ever stayed at.

This hotel is a perfect destination if you want to go to Mauritius. there is 7 Resturants to choose from. Lots of activities for the kids to do. The staff are the most friendly people on earth. The breakfast is also good. True value for money

This hotel is amazing and I would give it 5 stars, however there are a few minor things that it is missing to just edge it over the 5 star line. ROOM: The room we stayed in was fantastic and had a wonderfully rustic, however calling it a honeymoon superior (when in english terms it's a classic double). The welcome gift of the beach bag, rum, straw hat, flip flops and romantic meal on the beach was a nice, welcoming touch though. The only downside to the rooms I would generally say is the walls are very thin and you can hear almost everything that goes on outside and next door. A possible improvement could be to house all honeymoon couples in a designated block to avoid having their relaxing mornings shattered by the sound of screaming children running down the hallways outside. POOL & FACILITIES: We mixed between the beaches and poolside and found there was no trouble in getting a sunbed wherever we wanted. We did find though that some of the pools are heated slightly (not the adults only pool). The adults only pool for anyone wishing to enjoy this for the day does not have any specific adults only sunbed area however there are sunbeds down the stairs close by. Facilities at the hotel include the Spa which is fantastic and we took full advantage of it by having a traditional Mauritain massage in our first few days, it lasted 60mins and was thoroughly enjoyable!! The boathouse also offers free paddle boarding, kayaking (single and double), pedalos and glass bottom boat trips although these are weather dependent and also timings depend on the tide. AquaGym and various other activities including water polo, beach football and volleyball are encouraged by the entertainment staff and were always a good laugh when everyone was involved, was also a good way of meeting various people in the hotel. FOOD: Food within the hotel is amazing and there is plenty of choices to choose from! The restaurants varied from Karay (Themed Buffet), Tadka (Indian), Siaw (Chinese), Kot Nou (Mauritian) and Lor Disab (A la Carte) all of which were wonderful and all but Karay required prior booking through the guest desk (the day before was sufficient in order to eat the following evening). Dinner can be booked on the island of Grand Zil too which is worth the visit during the stay (a boat departs the pier every 30mins for the journey over to the island) There is even a small snack hut located in centre of the hotel inbetween both beaches that serves Burgers and Chips from 1200 until 1500 and then serves pancakes with various topping selection from 1600 until 1800. The main bar in the lobby also served hot food from 1200 until 1800 of which was perfect if you just fancied a quick panini or toasted sandwich. The only issue we had was in LOR DISAB there was a large amount of stray cats and dogs (some being fed by other guests) and they became abit annoying and needed removing. TRIPS: The hotel catamaran trip is highly recommended. We snorkeled in magnificent water and seen plenty of tropical fish followed up by an onboard bbq in a small cover before anchoring off a small island and exploring it in the hour we had there. Whilst here myself and my partner also done excursions to Casela park to walk with lions (90mins in a taxi - 2600 Rupees each way), One Love boat tour of the Mauritian East Coast including Ile Aux Cerfs (90mins in a transfer bus, transfer was provided when booking) and Swimming with Wild Dolphins on the west coast (0540 start with a 60min transfer bus). If anyone wants to do quad biking near to the hotel, I must thoroughly recommend Quad Activites which is 5mins in a taxi away from the hotel (350-400 rupees each way) an is hosted by Mr.Gilbert.. it was 2-3hrs of unbelievable quad biking aswell as a history lesson of Mauritus and how everything came about with the Dutch, French and English to make Mauritius what it is today. Overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel and more than love to come back, but the small & minor things are missing in order to make it 5*.
