Great location but rats on the balcony and dreadful bed

Hotel location is amazing with picture postcard view of the castle. Unfortunately the room's balcony has covered in pigeon excrement, which could have been easily swept aside. Furthermore the balcony had rats on it which rather interrupted our evening!
The room was perfectly fine, however the bed was dreadful. It felt a bit like sleeping on concave chicken wire.
Breakfast was a good spread as buffets go. Worth having...

Good location Many tour groups Rooms not cleaned regularly Sink did not drain and was not fixed despite numerous complaints The shower did not work properly and not fixed despite complaints it was overbooked and they ran out of breakfast items we had a sofa bed in our room that was open We did not need it (only 2 people) They would not fold it to make more room The tubs are hazardous for senior c...

What a friendly and great stay at this hotel. Perfect location, wonderful view of the Cité and right next to the river and bridge. We had a room with a terrace, thoroughly enjoyed. Special mention to Carlo and his team on reception, they were so personable and helpful. We borrowed the hotel's bikes, for free, and had a great day cycling along the Canal du Midi to Trébes, great few hours....
