Gardaland Adventure Hotel

I had my doubts about staying here, when my husband booked, as children 18 and 15 ,so possibly too old for a themed hotel and ideally wanted a hotel overlooking Lake Garda, however I can not fault our week here. Shuttle from airport took 25 mins and check in was quick. Our room on the jungle floor was huge, a nice divide between our room and the boys, tea and coffee facilities plus complimentary water, topped up every day. By solving clues we had to work out a number code to open a 2nd safe, regardless of there age my two loved doing this, and we all played the game prize, that was in there one evening. Breakfast ok, just make sure you have different things each day, so it doesnt become samey. A good well being drinks machine though to start the day with. Swimming pool and grounds great, remember to take swimming caps and beach towels.Shuttle buses were provided from the hotel entrance to Gardaland, and then Gardland to Pescheria train station, from there we took buses to Verona (opera was wonderfulalthough had to taxi back as finished late at 55 euros I believe) Garda, Malcescine and a free shuttle bus to Movieland and Carneva water park....best rapid ever! The bus ticket machine is located just inside the train station entrance to the left, very cheap to use buses. Pescheria is a beautiful town,where we finally got to see the lake, we didn't realise till the last night, that we could have taken a gondola ride. Sirmione, one stop up from Pescheria ferry definitely worth a visit, stunning and wow the gelato alley, I have never seen so much icecream in one place in my life!. Boys went to gardaland twice, great thrill rides and queues not too bad, water refill stations dotted around the park.

Firstly the pros. This was one of the cleanest ‘family’ hotels I’ve ever stayed in, both inside and out. The themes throughout are delivered to the high standards seen at the Gardaland Park so appeals to children and tbh adults too. The pool is a decent size and the ‘complex’ never seems too busy or noisy. The transfer from Verona is short enough for children and, importantly given the recent temperatures the air con was excellent. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The ‘cons’, the hotel is obviously linked to the theme park and a free shuttle bus runs regularly between the two. If you are planning to go anywhere else (& you’d be crazy not to given the location) however you will need to pay, walking is not a great option (we did it once) and in our experience you are looking at around 15e one way for a taxi which is easily the most accessible option. We couldn’t understand why the hotel shuttle bus simply didn’t do a circuit including Peschiera & the park as that would have made everything much more accessible. The only shop on the park pretty much just sells toys so you really need to travel off complex if you need anything else. Weirdly there felt as if there was limited children’s entertainment & what there was was very much focused on the younger ages. Beside the pool there is nothing else available on the complex such as tennis courts etc.

Very nice, awesome for kids. Everything is clean and very well taken care of. Staff is very friendly. Really great breakfast. Very convenient shuttle service to and from Gardaland. 4 stars because it's still overpriced in my opinion.
