The door noise is out of control - don't stay here.

If you value a quiet nights sleep - don't stay here. Every room door has a closure that makes the door slam shut, which than wakes up every person/room around it. Even the cleaning staff lets the room doors slam shut., adding to the issue.
The big design flaw is no carpet in the hallway to dampen the noise. Basically, if you don't want to wake up at 2 AM for the late arrivals, and again at 6 AM by the early departure...

Just returned from a 5 night stay and would return in a heartbeat
Hotel is excellent the room was spacious and the bed very comfortable
Breakfast was awesome with plenty of choices and staff in the restaurant were outstanding in fact every staff member we dealt with were outstanding
Would like to thank everyone for making our visit so memorable...

We visited Chicago for 5 days and stayed in 25th floor of Riu Plaza Hotel in Chicago downtown near Magnificent Mile. Accomodation and stay was wonderful. The room was spacious, full of daylight, clean. The staff was very polite, friendly, helpful. The price per night includes breakfast, which was rich with plenty of choises.
