Ambassor hotel Chicago
I dont usually write reviews but I felt I had to for this hotel.
The ambassador is living on it past reputation and if a 4 star hotel I dont know where that places a Premier Inn in the star category - a 6 at least.

Lack of basic safety and accountability

My stay at the Gold Coast Ambassador in Chicago from April 17 to April 20 was unacceptable from start to finish.
I paid $174 for parking and immediately encountered issues during a 100-year anniversary event, including a broken champagne glass left in a main walkway while guests were actively walking over it. Safety was not properly managed. My rooms AC later backed up and soaked my belongings.

To begin with, this hotel is a complete fraud starting with the pictures on their website. The photos make the property look modern, spacious, and well maintained, but the reality was the exact opposite. This is supposedly a luxurious hotel, but the room we received looked nothing like what was advertised online.

Beware: Bait and switch

We booked this hotel via 3rd party site and paid for the lodging. Upon checking in, the hotel charged us a resort fee of $146, they wouldnt let us check in without paying it and charged us even though it was past dinner time, we didnt need parking and had breakfast plans the next morning so we didnt need the amenities.
