Does not deserve more than 1, and would give a 0 if I could. For the price, which is equivalent to a nice Chicago property, one would expect at least the most basic amenities, but no. The room is disappointing for many issues, perhaps few of which would matter on their own but together make it such an unpleasant stay.

Avoid this hotel. Prepaid through American Airlines and the hotel doubled the rate upon checkin with resort fees...

Ambassor hotel Chicago
I dont usually write reviews but I felt I had to for this hotel.
The ambassador is living on it past reputation and if a 4 star hotel I dont know where that places a Premier Inn in the star category - a 6 at least.

My stay at the Gold Coast Ambassador in Chicago from April 17 to April 20 was unacceptable from start to finish.
I paid $174 for parking and immediately encountered issues during a 100-year anniversary event, including a broken champagne glass left in a main walkway while guests were actively walking over it. Safety was not properly managed. My rooms AC later backed up and soaked my belongings.
