Coral Beach Hotel & Resort

We didn’t actually but walked through the gardens and along the sea front. The setting is idyllic with a lovely beach and next to a small fishing marina with fishing trips, scuba diving and boat excursions.

As a group of 20 or so we have just returned from Coral beach hotel in Cyprus. The purpose of our visit was for my Stepdaughters wedding. This would be our fourth visit to the island, each time taking in a different hotel. The hotel is set in the stunningly scenic area of southern Paphos which I found to be much more attractive than the Kato area. The check-in process was fairly straight forward despite us mixing and matching rooms. Our room was garden facing which I liked. It was a triple single bed affair so, as a married couple was not to our liking. On our request one of the beds was removed and the other two transformed into a very nice and comfy double. Our room was a bit dated and worn but cleaned daily. It had a few bits of dodgy electrical work (photos) and knocked about fixtures. Our bedside lamp was reluctant to work unless you hit the top of the table it sat on. The air con was not that good with it at best feeling only a little cooler. The staff here are ALL fantastic. To single anybody out as exceptional would disrespectful and unfair to the rest of the people who work here, EVERYBODY does a fantastic job. The food is delicious and plentiful and I can honestly say that everything We ate was superb. (The wasabi with the sushi was awesome) The restaurants are all very clean and neatly laid up. Wherever we sat though we seemed to get annoyingly wobbly tables of differing levels of movement, some massively rocky and others just annoying. The pool areas are ok but mostly very slippery and looking a bit dirty. On our last day I managed to slip on some steps and land a bit heavily. There are ancient rubber mats laid out to walk on, in one place between the large and small kids pool the mat is tired and covered in green mildew- a sure sign that a jet wash has not been there for quite some time, a bit disgusting and dangerous too in a high footfall area. The sunbeds on the garden area behind the hedge are a quieter area to be in. We headed here every day in the same spot. On a few occasions the sprinklers had been on and this resulted in thick sticky mud between the beds, this was on your feet and footwear and quite hard to remove. One area I have to mention as I found it very ugly and disturbing is the area down by the water sports. It seems the people who run this sit here smoking all day and just toss their cigarette ends on the floor onto the sand footpath which leads onto the beach. This is littering in its worst form. These things are only ever going to find their way into the sea and harm marine life. I was so disgusted by this I refused to support the water sports. In these times with ocean health being a very important issue I cannot believe that hotel management staff have ignored this high profile and indeed shocking practice - All it needs is a bit of education and a dustbin. This is my view of the hotel and I realise we all see things differently.

I’ve just returned from a fortnight at the Coral Beach Hotel and had an amazing holiday. I can’t fault the stay at all. It all started very well when we arrived at gone midnight and after being shown our room, we’re taken to the restaurant for some food and a drink, which I thought was a lovely touch. Tho food was varied with plenty of choice and it was all very tasty. Even staying for two weeks, I didn’t get bored of the choice of food. We paid to eat at the Romanza Restaurant and didn’t regret it at all. The food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed being able to eat outside and take in the beautiful views when eating. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They really made the stay particularly amazing. The views were all stunning, particularly at sunset when you could sit outside with a drink and take it all in. Martin and the Animation Team were brilliant and worked so hard. W head aqua aerobics, a daily quiz, bingo and evening entertainment. There was also football and water polo going on. One evening the artist sang out on the deck whilst waiters served drinks which was great. It was an amazing holiday that I would recommend highly and would hope to return to for future holidays.
