    The Hotel Riu Arecas is an adults-only escape just a few minutes' walk from Playa del Duque's sunset views.

    This cruise ship-shaped hotel features two outdoor pools, with stairs connecting the beachfront infinity pool to the sandy beach below. Guests can dine at the buffet or a Spanish à la carte restaurant. There are two bars – one a casual option by the pool, and the other a lounge with live music and shows.

    In an upmarket part of Tenerife's Costa Adeje, the hotel's a five-minute drive from the centre of La Caleta, a lively fishing village. Five minutes in the other direction are high-end shops, bars and restaurants. Los Cristianos, where you can catch boat trips to see whales and dolphins, is just a 10-minute drive away.

      This place serves up breakfast and dinner with a variety of choices. Just so you know, shorts and vests are not to be worn and men are required to wear full-length trousers at dinner.

      Dotted with palm trees for some shade, the pools sit next to each other. They are surrounded by sunbeds and parasols with pool towels. Plus they're heated in the winter.

    We stayed in Riu Arecas for 11 nights during tough times with Covid situations. Masks were mandatory to wear in whole hotel area. We felt more than safe, well done to whole staff,everybody did a great job! Hotel is very nice, definitely not only four star hotel but for sure five! Rooms were very clean,big and modern. Food was amazing. Close to the best beach in Adeje and what a great beach club in Riu Palace,nice infinity swimming pool. The only negative thing are smokers...they are eveywhere,by the swimming pool,on the balcony..not a big problem to smoke outside the hotel and dont bother other guests with the smoke. Thank you Riu Arecas for a great holiday and we will be back very soon.

    Stayed for 5D4N in this Hotel, hotel is well located and easy to find. Room is old, considering that the hotel is a 4 stars hotel, I think they should update their hotel rooms, maybe a little renovation, 5 stars for cleanliness and staffs are all friendly. Best part is they have a beach club where infinity pool is, and also they have live band every night which is quite nice. Buffet breakfast is always the same, dinner buffet is good they changes menu every night.

    Very relaxing and beautiful hotel, perfect for a night without the children. Staff were friendly and the measures in place for COVID were clear and reassuring. Food was delicious and although a reduced menu there were still plenty of choice.

    Compliments from me. Everybody was very friendly and helpfull. What i missed in the room is the possibility to make a cup off tea or cofee, a small bottle of water for the first day, Thats all. And a guide for the television. I mean the channels a.s.o..

    We spent great time in Riu Arecas in August 2020. Hire only for adults! Clean rooms, excellent service and food in hotel restaurant. Close to black beach. Obviously recommend it! We will come back in next year!
