This hotel made our stay in Dubrovnik WONDERFUL. The room itself was sparkling clean, large, had a beautiful view, and offered all the amenities we needed. The facilities themselves aren't perfect like a Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons would be, but the problems are minor (a line at check-in, a corner of wallpaper peeling in one of the rooms, and the hallway to the beach was a little musty). Disappointing and not up to standard

We stayed at the adjacent Argosy and had the misfortune to eat at La Mar one evening. The waiter was overbearing and the food was way below the standard of other nearby hotel restaurants such as Levanat and Tramuntana. We had an almost inedible sea food salad and a beef tartare that had no flair at all. A previous snack lunch was good with friendly service and the evening was such a disappointing contrast....
