You’re within walking distance of Faliraki’s town centre and beach here – and back at base you’ve got a full-blown waterpark and a massive pool.
It’s no surprise this place has bagged a TripAdvisor certificate of excellence – not only has it got its own waterpark, but there’s also a huge pool, 2 restaurants, and a jam-packed entertainment line-up.
When it comes to location, the Sun Palace is on to a winner. Faliraki’s sandy beach is only 10 minutes’ stroll away, and it’s the same to the town’s bars and restaurants.

Family of 5, with 3 teenagers
We chose this hotel because of the onsite splash pool, and also because it was all inclusive. We stayed for two weeks until the 28th Oct. and used the Thomson transfer coach(definitely worth it) We arrived late on the saturday night , and the check in was busy, but efficient considering the amount of people on our coach. Food was available at the hotel snack bar. This snack bar was pretty basic but adequate for the time of night. The buffet breakfast, had a wide selection of both hot and cold foods and can't really fault it. Th lunch and even meal buffet was more or less the same menu, although it was alternated through the week, and with themed nights. Again we couldn't fault it, as there was never a night when we were struggling for something to eat. We had two rooms, one pool facing with our 3 teenagers, which was great as it managed to get the sun in the morning, but most of all , the free wifi signal. We had a room on the opposite side of the hotel , looking onto the additional rooms and splash pool, the sun just managed to hit our balcony mid afternoon. The evening entertainment was a set nightly routine, it wasn't something we would normally attend, but a nightly visit was done and was pretty good on some occations. Most days were spent at the splash pool, plenty of loungers , no matter when we decided to turn up.The snack bar was by far the preferred lunch option, with "the finest pizzas ever" according to the teenagers. Flumes were great, but quantity of inflatable rings for both flumes and lazy river was insufficient. Area was alway kept clean and tidy, with plenty of lifeguards in and around the area. Outside bar was always staffed and no issues with getting drinks at any time. The hotel area in general was kept really clean, and there was servicing staff working tirelessly to remove empty cups etc, that people could be bothered to place in the buckets. both our rooms were serviced everyday, and kudos to them for battling our teenagers for the duration. The bar was always staffed and no issues with that at all. Faliraki, we found to be pretty basic and quiet, possibly due to the end of season ! The beach wasn't that nice, with the sand/stones pretty rough, but as we lounged at the pool, this wasn't a concern. We took the local buses, greta value and always on time, to Rhodes town and Lindos, both definitely worth a visit. Lindos was especially worth the visit, and picture postcard perfect, with quant little homes and crystal clear waters. We also had a walk to Anthony Quinns bay, this was only a 30 min walk, and again worth the visit. On the times we ate out, we found it quite expensive for 5 people, so the cost of the all inclusive holiday was a bargain. Rhodes airport on leaving is pretty chaotic, and resembled "operation frequent wind" but we still managed to depart on time :) All in all , we were more than satisfied with our stay, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel or stay there again.More
A great family holiday and chill out
We had a great holiday with many highlights at the hotel! The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us !! Everywhere was constantly kept clean! There was always a varied food selection. The evening entertainment was great, lots of fun and varied. The Animation team were full of energy and inspirational.More
We stayed here as a group of 12 from 14th-28th Oct, we booked to renew our vows in lindos, we have stayed here 2 years ago. The hotel has had a refurbishment rooms were much better modern, shop was outside and bar inside better all round, hotel lovely and clean, entertainment makes this hotel Lamar, Paige and Angel are so funny our grandchildren absolutely loved them. The food lets this hotel down, breakfast ok the usual, lunch disappointing , dinner strange foodstuffs put together, snackbar just leftovers and the a la carte not worth going to. The waterpark is good everyone loved the lazy river, food better over there, had a couple of storms and you have to come out of the park for safety, all in all a good holiday, need to improve the food.More

Wouldn’t stay again!
We arrived in the early hours of the morning. Check in was quick & night time reception staff were pleasant. We grabbed a soft drink from the machine and headed up to room 163 which was on the ground floor. Our room was spacious with a big bathroom however the shower did leak and water did come up from the drain on the floor & so the floor was absolutely soaking every time you used the shower. We had a nice view of the pool. However, I have never ever ever experienced noise like it in a hotel! Noisy till late at night, through the night with people walking by our room then in the early hours with doors slamming & kids shouting/screaming/crying! Barely got a wink of sleep in the 4 nights we stayed! Food was “ok”, nothing special but we did always find something to eat. The pizza was definitely the best thing to eat there! Puddings aren’t great. There’s soft drinks dispensers to get Pepsi, 7up etc from then a bar to get local alcoholic drinks. Bar men very quick at making drinks up. Entertainment is the worst I’ve ever seen! The water park again is “ok” albeit a bit tired & dated. Never had a problem getting a sun bed. Didn’t really eat at the water park as the food is left uncovered with flys, wasps etc flying about as it is an outside food area. Faliraki itself is pretty grim. There’s quite a few shops although to be honest they all sell pretty much the same thing, night clubs, strip clubs, the odd supermarket & a McDonald’s down at the beach front. The beach is pretty unkept. The only way of walking along the beachfront is to walk on a broken wooden walkway on the beach itself. We took the local bus into Rhodes town which was the highlight of the holiday. It’s lovely although stay clear if you don’t like cats. The bus was €2.40 per person each way. Thomson wanted €45 per person! If you do venture out at night be careful as it is very dark outside the hotel with broken paving slabs. All in all I won’t be back here as I quite like my sleep on holiday so was thankful we were only there for 4 days! More
Well where do we start. Arrived early hours of the morning, check in quick and easy. Off to bed. 8.30am maids banging on the door change sheets and clean. REALLY. Hardly had any sleep as air con unit was so noisy and remote would not work. Told reception next day, we will send someone to sort it. There idea of sorting it was to just open the patio door, as this has a sensor on, and leave open all day. Excellent idea, we spend rest of holiday being eat by mozzys. What else can we say about this place. Cheap spirits. Cheap beer( had to add lemonade to make bearable) and the food. Don't get me started on that. Just about the same every day. Bland and vile. Got to a stage where we eat out most nights. Water park was ok kept kids entertained but looking a bit dated now. Only good thing about this place was the entertainment and the entertainment team. would i recommend this place ? never would i go back ? not a chance YOU HAVE BEEN WARNEDMore
