We stayed here for 4 nights in January and very much enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and we did ask them to assist us making a reservation one night. It is close to the train station which was important to use as we walked with luggage from the train- it's a must to be close to station with all the cobblestones. We did walk past it the 1st time we walked there- the city doesn't allow big signage....

We LOVED this hotel! A former palace, steeped in class and history. From check in to check out, the service was absolutely impeccable, exactly what you expect of a four star hotel. Great staff, great facilities, minutes away from Santa Maria Novella station, great restaurants and an easy walk to the Duomo. Breakfast was plentiful and the room was super comfortable. First the positives; this hotel is in a great location, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the reception, breakfast area and the courtyard and public areas are very nice and charming. The breakfast is also fine, nothing extra-ordinary but adequate.
The negatives? We stayed in the so called Junior Suit, which though spacious, looked nothing like the photos on the website. The whole room needs a revamp, perh...

I booked this hotel for my friends birthday city break.
It is minutes from the railway station and the city centres Duomo attractions.
All the staff were wonderfully friendly and the hotel had loads of beautiful features.
Our room was lovely with view out over the courtyard eating area.
Id requested twin beds and had inquired about the possibility of a complimentary birthday bottle of fizz which both were provided...

I chose this hotel as it was central, convenient for the tram link to the airport and the price was affordable. I travel solo so had booked a single room. The room appeared fine at first, it is an old building so I was not expecting all modern conveniences but there could be some improvements, such as a larger table / desk in the bedroom as everything was very cluttered.
