    A return visit and not disappointed

    After 18 months I finally managed to return to this beautiful hotel. It was just as I remembered, in a superb position giving stunning views over Funchal and the bay. I had a room with a sea view and balcony, overlooking the pool, plenty of room and drawer and hanging space. A 4 piece bathroom suite, with a shower over the bath and always plenty of hot water. My room was kept spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the hotel. The staff of the Panoramico are lovely, speaking a range of languages and always with a smile. Breakfast is plentiful, with omelettes cooked to order and a range of cold and hot food. I stayed half board and again there was a good choice, with local fish and dishes on the menu. I am lactose intolerant and once again I was well looked after by Fabio and the restaurant staff. The hotel is up above the Lido and has a courtesy mini bus which takes you in to Funchal, dropping off near the Ronaldo statue. All the different tour companies pick up from the hotel. Thank you for another wonderful stay - I will certainly be returning.

    Great hotel with good food in the buffet restaurant and a wonderful view over Funchal from the infinity pool area. The staff were amazing, always pleasant and extremely helpful - especially Rita and Nuno on reception when we had a couple of personal problems. Restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere with a lovely alfresco area for breakfast and dining overlooking Funchal. Staff attention was 5 star plus. Room was well furnished and well maintained. As stated the hotel looks out over the whole of Funchal but getting in to town was no problem with the hotel courtesy bus. All in all a very pleasant stay and we would hope to return.

    This is a beautiful hotel. The two pools make for daily swimming. Spotlessly clean and the staff were very helpful. Food also delicious if a little pricy in the restaurant. Of course everything is on a hill but the shuttle bus is available and taxis not expensive.

    We travelled has a couple had a room on the 2nd floor great views mini bar in room really good prices 1euro 60 bottle local beer 3 euro 50 small bottle wine breakfast hac great choice omelettes to order we were bed and breakfast great family run restraunt 5 mins walk by the maritime football stadium called casa de Sogra great sea bass meal 15 euros each bus stop outside hotel for bus into funchal also open top bus stops outside hotel to take you on hop on hop off bus tour round funchal 19 euros each 24 hour pass
    Great Holiday and Great Hotel

    Just home from a great week at Hotel Panoramico. Views from hotel are fantastic. Walk into Old Town is all downhill however wouldn’t recommend walk back. Taxis are very reasonably priced and hotel has a shuttle bus. The staff on reception are fantastic and couldn’t be more helpful. Stayed B&B so only had breakfast in hotel - the buffet breakfast had a good selection. There are some really good restaurants close to the hotel which are well worth trying.
