    This elegant hotel backs onto the beach, and has a great pool scene, too.

    With 2 swimming pools and a location right on the beach, this place is a paradise for water lovers. Foodies are well catered for, too – there are 3 restaurants, including a buffet place plus Asian and Tunisian à la cartes.

    Hammamet town centre is a 10-minute taxi ride away. But there’s plenty to do without leaving the hotel, from watersports on the beach to live shows in the bar.

    We enjoyed our stay, half board. Staff were very helpful and always there to assist. Rooms were clean and comfortable, cleaned every day, fresh towels every day. Wonderful heated swimming pool Variety and quality of food was good beautiful beach, just a bit too early in the season.

    The Phenicia Hotel really does live up to its four star status. It has spacious gardens with well kept lawns and numerous palm trees extending down to the beach, plenty of sun loungers and swimming pools. The heated indoor pool extends to the outdoors through an archway. It is really warm. I found that I could swim many lengths without getting the least bit cold. Our room was very clean and comfortable with good quality mattresses on the beds and good quality towels (not found in many hotels). We made use of the tea and coffee making facilities. We were on half board, and the breakfast and evening meals which are buffet style were excellent with a wide choice and everything well presented We tried our hands at archery and table tennis and I was glad to get some tennis coaching from Adel, the professional. I enjoyed horse riding. The riding school is just a few minutes walk from the hotel and the instructor, Masour, helped me improve my riding technique. The TUI rep Yasmine was very helpful giving us much valuable information. Although this is a Muslim country she was able to direct us to a church on Sunday. I think that this was the best holiday that we have ever had. With such great facilities and very helpful English speaking staff it is hard to see how it could have been better for us

    The hotel itself is very good for the price. Food: Lunch and Dinner 10/10. Breakfast 6/10 because everything is bread and eggs. They do have turkey sausages but they are disgusting, as are the cold meats and cheeses. Lunch and dinner however are fantastic with lovely meat and veg dishes of classic North African origine, e.g. tagines. Rooms: Very nice for the price, complete with safe, aircon, running water and beds. What more do you need on holiday? Bar: The bar staff are lazy and you have to go and get drinks because they'd rather play on their mobile phones than come round and take orders. However, if people are tipping they will sometimes put their phones away and come round. The drinks are good. Pools: Excellent, can't fault them. Entertainment: Good if you're into it, which I'm not. When you consider how cheap it is, this hotel is overall 8/10. The area the hotel is in is 0 out of 10 so only go here if you are content to stay by the pool eating and drinking all day, don't expect any culture or excursions that are worth doing. The local souks are just a rip off and very small. Morocco or Turkey are much better, but more more expensive. Expect non-stop hassle from blokes with beads and camels the moment you set foot on the beach.

    all staff were good at there jobs food was very good room s were clean and tidy good fun with mario and the team samie in the food hall was briliant as were all other staff help full even got given a birthday cake for my daughters birthday chloe sarah and colin all enjoyed the experiance from this holiday

    I rate my experience highly and recommend the sentido Phenicia for good service, the motivating animation box and perfect glittering view out over the Mediterranean Sea. The twin room I stayed. In was clean and comfortable.
