    With a private beach and international cuisine, TUI BLUE Makadi Gardens provides adults-only relaxation along Egypt's Red Sea.

    This hotel's part of the TUI BLUE For Two collection. It features two pools – both have bars, and one's designed for activities like aqua aerobics, while the other's for relaxing. There's a buffet, as well as seven à la carte restaurants serving exciting dishes from around the world.

    It’s 10 minutes’ stroll to the private beach along the Red Sea. Aquatic activities take place at the nearby watersport's centre*, and guests looking to buy souvenirs can find them at the shopping centre around the corner. It's 40 minutes' drive to central Hurghada, where dive shops, bars and nightclubs are in good supply. This hotel used to be called TUI SENSIMAR Makadi Gardens.

    Hotel is absolutely fabulous. Staff excellent and always willing to help. Food also very good. Had a meal in the Culinarium which was excellent. Unable to use the other restaurants in the area as they closed down because of Covid-19. Had to return 5 days early because Egypt closed all airports due to the virus although no-one to our knowledge was infected in our area. Once flying ban is lifted we will definitely book to go back. Message to all the staff: you were all brilliant. Hope to see you all again soon.

    Sadly this may be one of the last reviews of this excellent hotel for a while due to the corona virus, so we consider ourselves very lucky to have been guests between 16 – 23 March, just prior to the hotel going into self isolation, along with the remaining staff. There is not much I can add regarding the merits of Makadi Gardens, that hasn’t been mentioned already in recent reviews. We were blessed with 7 days of non stop sunshine, it was a tad windy during the day, and evenings were too cool to sit outside. One pool was heated to some degree, but the activity pool was freezing - I think the sea was even slightly warmer. There didn’t seem to be much swimming or snorkelling taking place from the beach, and due to the situation, no boat trips were running, so we missed our red sea snorkel fix, which is always draws us to holiday in Egypt. If I had to change anything at this resort it would be the provision of more non smoking areas around the poolside, even better would be to have all of the pool and bar areas non smoking, and to set aside a remote area for smokers and e-cigarettes users to visit. . Although the entertainment programme was curtailed towards the end of our stay, along with the amount of guests remaining, the staff at the Makadi Gardens were able to provide us with a the holiday experience we were so looking forward to, from non stop drinks around the pool and in the bar, to the sun glass polishing service and the chef delivering snacks between meals. The superb food and drink range was maintained alongside the polite and friendly service in all the restaurants. Finally we are so grateful to Mandy the Hotel Manager for keeping us informed, and for keeping the staff motivated, to Danielle from Guest relations and our great Tui rep Saed for being there when needed. We will return.

    My partner and I stayed at this beautiful hotel on the 2nd until 13th of March, the hotel is well looked after, very clean, we stayed on the 3rd floor over looking the pool fantastic view, I can't fault this hotel in anyway, food was good every day we did go to the Indian which is fantastic, the weather was OK most of the time how ever we did have a sand storm, also a storm which took out the electricity, and the last 2 days were really overcast, which was a shame but can't be helped? Would I come back to this hotel oh yes definitely, they all look after you in every possible way nothing is to much for them? Danielle tui rep is a really nice person always there if needed? I think if I booked again I would try later mayb may time, but the weather is hot in March but you can't guarantee it. To everyone who works at this hotel are very friendly and happy which makes the holiday aswell? I hope to go back soon as soon as this corona virus is over I will think of re booking? Stay safe and well staff And thankyou for a great holiday x

    My experience of the TUI Blue Makardi Gardens overall was excellent but with the COVID 19 virus all excursions were cancelled so only stayed in hotel or beach. The staff were very polite and friendly. Syed was very helpful.
    Exceptional service in exceptional times

    We were one of the last 20 odd guests to leave this lovely hotel on the last day of flights out of Hurghada. When we arrived the hotel was more or less full but by our last day we were just a tiny group but the staff treated us exactly the same, despite their own worries as, once we left, they had to stay in isolation at the hotel for two weeks before being able to return to their own homes and families. Never once were we made to feel a nuisance or anything other than a valuable guest. The food, service, hospitality were wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed being so well looked after before our own return home to reality. Special mention to our Tui Rep, Sayed. He was marvellous, even coming in on his day off to keep us up to date and allay any worries anyone might have had. The gardens of this hotel are absolutely beautiful and the pool area was well supplied with sun beds and parasols. The waiters served you drinks on your sunbeds and the food both in the restaurants and at the Lido restaurant by the pool was delicious with plenty of different foods/cuisines to choose from. All in all a wonderful experience to have stayed here in such a difficult time for everyone in the world.
