Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando

Stayed here for my yearly week long visit to Orlando! Had a great stay! I always try and stay on Rosen properties when I visit! I have not had a single bad experience with them! Check in and check out was great! Fantastic staff! Room felt clean and safe! I will be back!

Review a bit late but better late than never :) I thought I had left my 2nd review but I can’t see it so here it goes The first I want to is give praise to the helpful staff who work at the hotel from the front desk being quick and efficient on the first day as After a long flight I just want to get in my room to relax. To the ticket desk as they were always helpful, when it comes to booking tickets/travel or just help in general of the area. Then there is the dining servers always have a smile of their face and very friendly. Never had a moment of bad service while dining there. And last but not least is the cleaners there everyday to clean and the room amazing each time. Even the lazy days we had but didn’t leave the “Do not disturb” sign on the door they were always happy to just swap the towels for that day. The hotel is in a great spot on International Drive where a lot of great restaurants, local shops and if you do have a lazy day in the hotel you have a 24 hour convenience store in the hotel as well as a gift shop where again the staff are always helpful. There are 3 pools to hop in that are always clean and have a lot of towels by the side of the pools. My only downer I have at the moment is that I couldn’t go back this year. Hopefully I get the see the hotel next year as I’ve rebooked.

If we had stayed at this hotel under better circumstances, the review might have a better rating. We booked at room at Clarion Inn Lake Buena Vista on Palm Parkway close to Disney Springs. I'm the type of person that I read reviews on hotels before I book there to make sure it is clean and safe. We picked the Clarion because it had good reviews, a good price and the location we were looking for. After a long, very hot day at Magic Kingdom we headed to the hotel. We pulled up to a security gate and noticed the hotel looked oddly dark. It didn't click why until right away, we told the security guard that we had a reservation. She didn't seem surprised that we were there, she just told us the hotel is closed and that we were at the wrong place. She handed us a small flier and let us know we were actually booked at the Rosen Inn, International Drive. We were very confused since we booked a room at Clarion Inn Lake Buena Vista. Even our email confirmation said it was for Clarion Inn Lake Buena Vista. Not having much choice, we headed to the Rosen Inn. When we got to the front desk we told them our name and sure enough we had a reservation at a hotel we knew nothing about. I will say, it looked fine, so I wasn't too concerned. We let the lady that was checking us in know what had happened. Again she didn't seem surprised and really wasn't apologetic to the situation we had been put in. She just proceeded to ask for a credit card that she could put a $100 hold on for incidentals. While we were checking in we noticed a man standing at the end of the counter where you have to walk by him once you are ready to go to your room. He is there to stop you from going to your room right away and to direct you to the desk where they sell you tickets and other things. He didn't stop us, probably because he had just seen us get upset with the desk clerk due to the bait and switch we feel had been done to us. Now a review of the actual property. The room was clean and looked updated. Overall the room was quiet, my issue was the noise outside, this hotel is located on a very busy street. I could hear the cars and sirens that went by like they were right outside the window. The hotel also seemed safe, which is one of the two things we always look for. We were only there one night, so I can't say a lot more about the hotel. The pool looked really nice, although we didn't use it. The location is desirable to some, but for us we usually look for one on not such a busy road. When we checked out, we asked for a receipt to show that we do not owe anything. The lady, the same one that checked us in the night before, asked us why we needed a receipt. She seems hesitant to give us one, which seemed odd to us. She did provide us with one though.
