Brilliant Bitzaro - lovely hotel with friendly staff.

Loved our 11 night stay at the Bitzaro. 1. Arrival - arrived around 8.30 in the evening. Very friendly receptionist who asked if we would like to eat first or be book in. Booked in our room was very nice with a view over the pool as requested. 2. Restaurant - could choose any table and then a lovely waitress took our drinks order and George the soup man arrived to ask if we wanted soup and explained that soup would be served every night but the rest was self service. Table was laid out very nicely for evening meal.( All other meals were self service) All the food was excellent lots of Greek favourites which I thoroughly enjoyed. Wine & beer also good. Also the option of eating outside during lunch and breakfast which we did most lunch times. 3. Pool Bar - pool bar is actually at the far end of the restaurant and pool side drinks served in the usual plastic cups. You can also order lovely club sandwiches, burgers and chips( before and after lunch up until 6.00) 4. Lobby Bar - quick service every evening from 6.00 by Denis - drinks of a good standard although cocktails not brilliant. So I stuck mainly to the ouzo. 5. Enterainment - enjoyed the entertainment a bit different but nevertheless very good 3/4 nights a week. Only thing is saw 2 acts twice as we were there for 11 nights should really have a 2 week turnaround. 6. Pool - lovely pool never over crowded - we preferred the sun loungers on the grass area as they were not so close together, A few issues when we were there regarding the decking(couple of accidents) however this seemed to have been sorted before we left. 8. Location - really peaceful location with 10 mins walk to the lovely beach and 10 mins to the strip. 9. Staff - all the staff were very friendly and helpful could not fault them at all. 10 Cleanliness - very clean throughout got up a few early a few morning and the amount of staff that were about cleaning the communal areas was impressive. 12. Gardens - beautiful and very well kept. 11. Check out - we were due to be picked up at 6.30 in the evening but we had to check out at 12.00 this was not a problem as we booked the courtesy room for 4.30. Small room but adequate with a shower room and a small dressing area with sockets for hairdryer. OVERVIEW Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely hotel. Only 2 small little niggles - 1. The entertainment being weekly as stated above. 2. We had rain for 2 days and on those days it would have been nice if the loby bar was open for drinks during the day as you had to walk outside to the restaurant. Didn't really bother us as we went out on the 2 days but you could see that this would be an improvement.
Nice hotel but if going as a 3 be aware of sofa beds

Got back from a weeks all inclusive with 2 other family members. Overall a really nice hotel with lovely staff members especially the waitresses and cleaners! Food is delicious and can ask for dairy free with no problems. Pool nice, decking seems to have been sorted mainly with no lose parts and gardens are also nice. Garden sun loungers are very uncomfortable to lie on for any length of time and pool ones were always full up by 7:15am. Maybe the hotel needs to invest in the loungers all being plush and comfy to make it fair! Mosquitos were a problem but this is obviously not the hotels fault however bring lots of repellent if staying here we got bitten to pieces!! Drinks were pretty standard, beer lovely and the rest of them average. The beach is a 5 min walk away but absolutely lovely the sea is clear and warm and nice to see conservation efforts with the turtle nests being marked so people don’t lie on them!! The room we had for a 3 was pretty basic nothing special but nothing really wrong with it. This was the only downside we found. The two beds were comfy but the third sofa bed was atrocious and rock hard with no mattress. We had to request for a mattress to be brought in as was awful to sleep on so be aware of this if travelling as a 3. Luckily the hotel sorted this within 2 days so only had 2 nights of sleeping on a rock hard sofa! Overall had a great time all inclusive is defo worth getting and thanks for our stay!
Quiet and relaxing hotel

Stayed here recently and was incredibly pleased with the hotel. The rooms were clean, bathroom not as basic as many Greek hotels and room had added bonus of coffee making facilities and fridge. Generally the hotel was kept lovely and clean, the food was lovely and fresh with enough choice. Greek night was fabulous. All staff were incredibly helpful and pleasant. Pool great but a few wobbly bits of decking around the pool which I always seemed to find. It says poolside bar but is actually in dining area but hey you need to walk off those delicious desserts served each day. Usual “issue” with sun beds. We weren’t able to get bed alongside pool for first few days and then relented and got up early each morning - if you can’t beat them, join them. Personally I don’t agree with reserving beds and then going off for half a day, very selfish and some seem to think this is acceptable, it’s not!!! Perhaps the hotel should consider replacing the double bean bag type beds with regular sun beds and you could then accommodate more people. Overall a fabulous hotel for relaxing and winding down. Not recommended if you are expecting anything more than a quiet relaxing break. A great find, will definitely return. My only gripe would be that I don’t agree with having to pay for a safe. Surely this should be a given, as it is in most hotels I have ever stayed in.
