End of Season Relaxing Retreat Wonderful!

Stayed here end of season for my birthday, on a last minute booking due to Losing our Thomas Cook hotel booking, The Bitzaro Grande Hotel, I believe everything happens for a reason, and from start to finish they could not possibly of done any more for us, Petra on reception was fantastic an absolutely genuine person so friendly, rooms were amazing and on my birthday they made me my favourite dessert and sang happy birthday, food was amazing, snacks and drinks were some of the best I’ve had on all inclusive, evening meals soup, was served by George who was also our favourite barman, it was served at the table and gave it that added touch of class, overall this place was perfect for us, all the staff are amazing from cleaning to Bar to dining..(Dennis at the night bar could smile a little more) only thing I would say is was a little out of season think they closed earlier because of the Thomas Cook collapse.. I’d stay earlier next time... I’d book here in a heartbeat and I know would get exactly the same service thank you for a wonderful stay!!!
ANOTHER RELAXING HOLIDAY AT THIS FANTASTIC HOTEL WITH FANTASTIC FRIENDLY STAFF

We have lost count of the number of times we have stayed at this lovely hotel - when we first stayed here it was half-board then it changed a few years ago to All Inclusive. We always have the same room - quiet and peaceful which we like with views of the mountains. All staff are very helpful and friendly and remember us from Reception, Dining room and maid and always pleased to see us again. Our room is always very clean, with kettle, safe, hair dryer and scales! The food in the dining room is lovely and the staff all work very hard. The garden is also very neat and tidy. Sometimes we hire a car but a taxi is quite cheap and can be booked at the hotel reception. A visit to Zante town is a must - to see the church of St Dennis and the monastry. The better shops/cafes are a couple of streets back from the coastal road - plus some lovely cake shops. Another interesting place to visit is the Olive Oil farm/factory - take the little train from the main road which goes round the country lanes where the very old shaped trees can be found. We have also taken the boat trip for turtle spotting and another day had a taxi to Bohali where the views are amazing plus a castle and we walked back down the hill. We like to walk around the quiet lanes in Kalamaki or walk to the beach. We also walk to Laganas on the long straight road - before the youngsters have got up - we find it easier walking on the road than on the beach. The hotel is close to the airport but the noise is not a problem. We walk down the road to watch the planes taking off and landing which is also interesting. We would recommend this hotel for couples for a relaxing holiday. We feel it should be adults only as there is nothing for children. We think families would be better suited at the Grande or other hotels on the island that cater more for children. We will definitely return to this hotel for another relaxing holiday.
Great value for money

stayed here from 8/10/19 for 2 weeks, what a relaxing 2 weeks we had. All the staff were brilliant from Petra in reception, Dennis the barman, George with the evening soups, all the restaurant girls cleaners etc, really friendly and helpful. Room: We stayed in room 105, ground floor room handy for the pool and restaurant, had everything that we needed, good size, tea making, wifi, maybe could have had more shelf space for clothes. Food: great selection of food, not massive but always replenished quickly ensuring hot and fresh. The soups were excellent, piping hot and served at the table. Snacks were prepared fresh to order and were superb!! Pool area: the pool and pool area was kept spotlessly clean, plenty of sunbeds around the pool and in the gardens. Bar and drinks: the quality of drinks was excellent, good measures, never had to wait long for service. the bar area and outside seating was fine for the size of the hotel. The shops and beach were just a short walk from the hotel, we visited the beach but preferred to use the hotel pool. There are a lot of returning guests and when you stay here you see why. Would we return again, definately! but probably earlier in the season.
Smaller Hotel But Big On Service and Value

We arrived late because of a delayed flight. The receptionist was waiting for us and gave us a friendly welcome. Although the restaurant was closing we were taken to a table set for us and we had a good selection of food from the buffet. And so the holiday went on. Every member of the staff were helpful and ensured we had a great time. The room was perfect, a good size and very clean and tidy, being cleaned every day. The restaurant was well laid out with a wide selection of food available which was of good quality. The waiters / waitresses were wonderful and were a credit to the hotel. We cannot thank you enough. There is one swimming pool in addition to a children's pool. There are plenty of sun beds around the pool and on a grassy area close by. Pool towels are available for a 10 euro deposit. It is a short walk to either the main road of Kalamaki or to the sandy beach. If you fancy a walk you can walk into Laganas along the beach. Zante town is a short bus ride away or taxis cost 10 euros. Drinks are served from the back of the restaurant during the day. There is another bar in the evening and there were three good quality shows here during our one week stay. A smaller hotel than some we have stayed in but this makes the place special – I understand there are a lot of return visitors which has got to be a good sign. So in conclusion, a great hotel but all the staff (those seen and unseen) are what makes it a wonderful place. Thanks to you all for a brilliant holiday.
