    Pleasant stay

    Breakfast staff are lovely and the cleaners did a great job of cleaning our rooms every day. The breakfast selection was good, loved having the Greek yoghurt and honey every day. Sunbeds could do with a clean as they were quite mucky. Our room was nice enough but the shower cubicle was broke with the door hanging off. We had a mountain facing room but there's not much privacy when sitting on the balcony as the divide between each room is very low. This could be an amazing hotel but it does need a bit of TLC. It was about an 8 minute walk to the beach front which wasn't too bad. All in all a nice stay
    In need of refurbishment

    Hotel staff were so very nice and friendly. The rooms were in desperate need of refurbishment . The bathroom and shower area was disgusting. Swimming pool was clean and seating area okay but the sunbed cushions were stained and way past their best. I would not lie on them even using a towel.. The girl behind the bar was friendly but the bar had very little drinks to offer so most people resorted to using the local supermarket. The hotel is situated back from the beach about an 8 minute walk up the lane which would have been a nice stroll but the fly tipping and rubbish was not nice and very smelly. I booked this Hotel based on good reviews but looking back I think the reviews were posted as far back as 2012. Would I return? No definitely not. This review has no reflection on the staff. .
    Difficult to review?

    There are many many five star reviews which I am convinced are due mainly to the friendly and helpful nature of all the staff and in the main I concur with all those which highlight the hotel's many positives. However there are downsides, even when considering that the hotel is only three star. The hotel is kept spotless by the two dedicated cleaning ladies but even their efforts cannot mask fundamental issues. A spotless pool and surrounds area but dirty and worn poolside mattress/bed covers and pillows. A spotless albeit fairly basic bedroom but a shower which has seen far better days and has large areas of mould on its walls. I cannot understand why all the previous reviews don't mention this. It's the biggest let down of all. Definitely would not pass health and safety inspection. A plentiful self serve breakfast with attentive coffee table service but no fresh fruit, only tinned peaches, and repetitive offerings of cold meats and cheese, sliced fresh bread (no bread rolls), lukewarm scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon. Such a shame as the staff are indeed fantastic and deserve all the praise heaped on them, but the owners do need to upgrade urgently.
    Close enough and quiet enough

    The staff are makes the hotel what it is. We can not praise all of them enough, they can not do enough for you, are so friendly and helpful. For us, most of the great ratings on here is down to the staff because of how fantastic each and everyone of them are. The hotel is a leisurely 10 minute walk to the seafront where all the restaurants and shops are, it’s pretty much a flat walk. The cleanliness of this hotel, it is totally spotless and the cleaners do great work. Well worth the visit
    Paradise exists

    Hotel 28 is more than 28 bedrooms. It is an oasis of nature and peace where the time is so sweet, because it seems to be suspended : we live here at the rythme of the sun and the sea, supervised by a dreamteam. I left this paradise yesterday with one great conviction : to come back next year.
