Boutique 5 Hotel and Spa

We first visited this hotel in June 2019, we had a room on the Ground floor with the Private Pool. Upon arrival we was greeted to cold towel and a free drink from the bar whilst our cases was taken from us , we was then shown to our room by the receptionists who walked us down to our room and talked us through the amenities around the hotel, Once at our room the receptionists talked us through the room where things was and what switch did what, which was a very nice touch. Can not praise the staff enough they was all very friendly and very helpful. We was half board and can not fault the Breakfast or our evening meal everything was attention to detail. Our Room luxurious very spacious and clean the bed was very comfortable and huge. Having a room with our own Private pool was just brilliant to the point that we didn't really go anywhere just spent a week chilled out we didn't really have to go anywhere as we had everything we needed. A better view of the sea would have been great but it is limited with the ground floor rooms that have the private pools. We enjoyed our stay that much that we have booked to return on the 5th June this year again with the Private pool we did look in to a room with Private Pool on the second floor but the price went up dramatically so even though we didn't get the best sea view its not going to spoil the Holiday. We stayed here at the end of season (Oct 2019). This hotel is amazing, incredibly luxurious but also incredibly warm and friendly. Yes, the building is beautiful, the location idyllic but what really makes this hotel is the staff. From reception, to housekeeping, the gym, the restaurant and the beach every staff member goes above and beyond to look after your every need. From my experience working with the public I know that it's not always easy to go 'above and beyond': especially when you are tired and it's end of season but the staff here did it anyway - they such an asset to the hotel. Rooms: We had a junior suite with our own private pool. The sea view was partial, but after reading the description on the website we knew about this beforehand. The room was specious, clean and very quiet. Plenty of storage space and lovely powerful shower. Housekeeping are excellent: very high standards. I asked for an extra robe and one appeared, no questions and no fuss. Hotel pool areas: Stunning. As well as our own pool areas we used the hotel's main pool and the one in the spa. The main outside pool has incredible views and is often very quiet (no fight for sun loungers). Lovely to do a few laps in the afternoon to cool off. Please be aware that swimming is not permitted until later in the morning, so as to not disturb the other guests whilst they eat breakfast next to the pool. Spa: We had two treatments, the first was a half an hour complimentary massage which was lovely, and the second was a head, back and neck. My partner and I found the therapists, Zoe and Ahero (sorry not sure how to spell this) both warm and very skilled - we were totally relaxed afterwards! We visited the spa with its pool, sauna and steam room almost every day, and, like everywhere else in the hotel received such a friendly welcome. The facilities are really very good. My only negative would be that the Jacuzzi tiles had a build up of green stuff on them - the rest of the hotel was so immaculate that this stood out to us. There is a gym (we didn't use it much!) but please be aware that it pretty small: space for 3 people maximum. Beach: We loved the beach! Stony with beautiful, warm clear water. The sun loungers were extremely comfy and the toilets always very clean. Diagoras provides excellent service on the beach: a big smile, fresh towels, drinks, snacks and, if you ask, even some free Greek lessons (thank you so much Diagoras!). Restaurant: We stayed here on a B and B basis. Breakfast was incredible, just the right balance of quality and choice. The views whilst you wake up with a fabulous Greek coffee were the absolute highlight for me. We really enjoyed the snack menu and actually found it to be better value than the main menu, which, although good quality was quite expensive for the portion size offered. The restaurant staff are amazing, they really look after you and it was such a delight to see their smiling, happy faces every morning. Thank you Stefanos, Georgia and all the other staff (unfortunately we didn't learn all their names but each member remembered us and provided amazing service). Reception and other hotel areas: The hotel on the whole is wonderful, softly lit, spacious and almost palatial in design. The main pool is magical in the evening with twinkly lights that glisten like stars. The reception staff, unsurprisingly, reflect the rest of the hotel: warm, welcoming and very knowledgable. Our special thanks goes to Marilena who spent so much time with us recommending places to visit Rhodes and helping to plan our trips. Thank you for all your efforts Marilena, it was much appreciated. This wonderful place offers the perfect location to relax and unwind. It is quite remote, so if you're after loads of clubs and bars nearby you might struggle. For us, it was perfect: we are very much looking forward to visiting the Boutique 5 Hotel & Spa again. James and Rosie
