    Booked a last minute, week stay here as a family with 3 young boys. It was fantastic. The apartment was basic but huge! We had 2 huge bedrooms, with a separate kitchen/diner, bathroom and 2 separate big balconies. The owners were brilliant, friendly and would do anything to help. Set back a 10-15min walk from the strip/mayhem of laganus which was great for us as a young family. Free transport from the owners into town and back. And a brand new pool for 2020 which was a must for the boys! A fantastic week even during these covid days. Cheers, yamas!!

    We have just returned from a two week holiday at Sarakina and without doubt it has been one of the nicest holidays we have ever been on (even with the current situation with COVID). Although the hotel is a fair distance from “the strip” and offers fairly basic accommodation, it was clean and comfortable with truly amazing views, set in a quiet countryside location while still only being a very short distance from the party capital of Laganas. What made Sarakina so special however was the truly heartwarming and caring hospitality the owner and his sons showed to every guest. They really couldn’t do enough for us during our stay and were so apologetic that maybe the hotel wasn’t at full operation yet, they just couldn’t do enough for us to make up for this.. Even by offering to prepare any meal we wanted (with a days notice) due to the current limited menu. We would certainly not hesitate in returning to Sarakina although assume it would be a lot different in the height of peak season and at full capacity.

    Stayed here for a week last minute deal. Did not disappoint.made to feel very welcome. Hotel is away from hustle of the strip. The new pool is stunning. Proper small family run hotel, and they could not do enough for you. Thank you Nicos and family.
    Lovely Break at Sarakina Apartments

    We stayed at Sarakina Apartments with our 3 boys for a week from 9th Aug - 16th Aug 2020. From the moment we arrived we could not have been made to feel more welcome. Nikos was there to greet us, and one of his sons Harris helped us to our room. The room had 2 large bedrooms, 2 balconies & a kitchen area (kitchen area basic and would not fancy cooking in it - but who wants to cook in beautiful Zakynthos!). Nikos & his family run the Taverna next door - we lunch there most days and 3 or 4 dinners - although a restricted menu due to Covid) - the food was great. The swimming pool (which I believe is new for 2020) is fantastic and the area is immaculately clean. Always able to get a sunbed. Our boys lives in the pool for the whole week. You can buy drinks/snacks from the taverna while you are poolside. There is a courtesy bus that runs regularly to take you up and down to the centre of Laganas (or the beach), however we often walked it (around 15-20 mins). The beach is lovely and there are many great restaurants. I know Laganas is known for the Strip and Club 18-30 scene, but we had a fantastic family holiday with our boys of 5, 8 and 12. If you don’t want to be around the buzz, then you absolutely can as a family. The location of Sarakina Apartments was far enough away from the buzz to completely relax & chill, but close enough to either walk or take the courtesy bus into Laganas - where there are lots of lovely restaurants away from the main club scene. We had a fantastic holiday and hope to return with the boys grandparents sometime soon. Thank you to Nikos & all his family for their hospitality and care in making a great family holiday for us.

    Honestly, went to laganas with some friends this year and I truly really enjoyed being in this hotel, we all did. Not too close to the strip, so when we didnt go, the noise didnt bother us! Yet, not so far away it too far to go. The rooms within the accomadation was good and good value for money and they kept them clean. To top it all off, the staff made us feel like family. I want to go back next year just to see them! We all had a good experience and we will be revisiting in 2020!
