I have to say this holiday has been a breath of fresh air. Hotel superb.... Never had better service for and facilities for families. Feels safer than home. I have to do a special mention for Salih at Pavilion... He is a saint. Service with a smile every day,,, It is a pleasure to see him every morning with his fantastic attitude and demeanour. Would recommend...

I always look at reviews of hotels where I’m going to stay, I take those reviews with a pinch of salt, I then visit my chosen hotel and like others write a review that corresponds to the hotel. Unfortunately on this occasion some of what had been written was true The review I’ve done have is the truth nothing made up and defiantly true to every word. You might think it’s a long one but I’ve broken it down to areas to help you get a better understanding I hope the hotel responds as I would like to in the future visit again to see if any changes have been made So let’s move on..... Arrival/ Check In/Hotel In General This was my second time to Turkey and should have been off to Majorca it persuaded my wife to come here as at first wasn’t too keen on the country So when we arrived we was greeted by staff they took care of our luggage and it was sprayed down, great to see, the hotel looked clean and tidy (that was the case for the rest of the hotel) At reception staff were very friendly and polite, we had to complete COVID-19 questionnaire for all of us, was given room keys explained what is happening at the hotel and given a map/times of meals etc, don’t worry if you forget your mask as you get given some on arrival and can get them throughout your stay free of charge Was asked to make way to our room and our luggage followed You have to wear a face mask throughout the hotel, in restaurants you don’t need to wear at your table but whilst walking around to choose your food you have too I’m afraid to say if you are disabled, not good with walking or in a wheel chair, or even with a buggy there is one big steep access road, I did ask of there was another way in and the answer was no and was pointed up the slope where you have cars going up and down and no real footpath Plenty of lifts around the hotel which is great, I found that once on the floors for the rooms of the hotel and in the lift that no one wore a mask, to be honest the only place I seen was the Lobby floor area where the Zen restaurant, reception and guest services, of staff see you on any other floors they don’t ask you to put one on WiFi works in 97% of the hotel including the pool, beech and rooms. It however doesn’t work in the Zen Restaurant for some bizarre reason Room The room as a sea view room and had lovely view, the room was clean and tidy a cot in the room as requested, we found that there was very little storage for clothing and with four of us two adults and two children found it difficult for storing and no place for shoes to go The air-conditioning wasn’t working so reported this and was told that between 7am-9am and 7pm to 9pm it’s switched off, there is no mention of this on arrival or notice in the room The mini bar is included however had to report this three times within 12hrs as it’s certainly not cold, nearly 24hrs later a little improvement but not the best. The mini bar is stocked up daily, well say daily three times in the 11 nights that I’ve been her I’ve had to ask for it to be restocked as no one had done it The baby cot had mould on the mattress mentioned this but nothing has changed, 13/09/20 this has now been changed finally Plastic facia around the bottom of the shower is loose and at the side is not secure and sticking out, reported to reception and still awaiting to be fixed Also bed sheet when the bed sheet was changed on one of the beds this had a hole in the side of it, would you get this at a five start hotel? In the bathroom you get a robe and slippers and little amenities to use shampoo, shower gel and moisturiser, we asked for extra towels and pillows at reception and they arrived very quickly A safe is in the room which is free of charge to use, you choose your code to lock/unlock On the door just at the spy hole there was a plaster over it that is still there, no idea why or who put it there Excellent sea view Restaurant Zen Had a meal on arrival and I take previous reviews a pinch of salt, food was ok yes but catering for the English but we are in Turkey, there was pasta, meatballs, fish, chicken, lentil soup, chicken nuggets (only one night of chicken nuggets) and that’s just a very small percentage, same deserts day in day out Staff very polite and helpful, kept asking if wanted drinks topping up and kept clearing table of plates, however this was slow on a couple of occasions maybe staff shortage So breakfast and lunch was ok not English but again we are in Turkey, not catering much for children but having a 1 and 3 year old they will eat anything so good to get taste buds changing and trying new foods, however they do and should do more variety for the children as they can’t be living off chips, mash and pasta every day. The children’s restaurant has not been open once since we have been here, there is no children’s cups they are given like wine glasses, no plastic plates and bowls but they do have silver cutlery My wife and I on our seventh day of the children not eating/pushing same food for the previous six days away we spoke to the manager, they done us a cheese pizza and then also all of a sudden the kids restaurant then got opened with chicken nuggets, pasta and other items, the head chef thought it was a laughing matter, he tried to take us to one side and he touched my arm and I reminded him of COVID-19 and he laughed and just shook his head. Not professional Another big issue is kids drinks they don’t have squash so children living off water, fresh orange or apple juice not great, so had ta wander to the shop and again don’t sell it there either, had to buy Capri Sun drinks 10 for 90 lira we have spent 230 lira so far on drinks for them Most of the time when we asked for water we had been given it warm, in 34/38 degrees you need cold drinks As staff fill up your plates they give a small amount in some cases on a couple of occasions had to keep telling them to put more on, when this happened the staff looked less than amused The restaurant have broken high chairs, they have a slide on tray and at least three of them broken No WiFi connection Ravan We had noticed that lunch on our first day was quiet and I think the reason behind this was because everyone when’s the the Raven Snack Bar where you can get burgers, chicken wraps, steak, grilled choke, fish and chips just to name a few and it was nice and different to what we had been eating and something that the kids would eat. Same deserts/food each day maybe different on the grill section Very hard to get the attention of waiter staff to get drinks seem very limited staff Your not allowed to take food away to your sun lounger it has to be eaten in the seating area Staff however were pleasant and always let on to you Ice Cream Corner So far hasn’t been open which is disappointing and you have to walk down to the beach bar which isn’t brilliant and is out the way from the pools, it’s literally on the beach, you are offered Cornetto style ice cream vanilla and strawberry Tea House A covered area to go and relax and give a nice cold drink and chat. The issue I have found is if you want a drink to take away they rush to sever you and you get more froth than actual beer, so for example I ask for three beers they give me four paper cups and end up with just three small beers which is probably not even a pint This is the only bar open during the day for drinks around the pool Pool/Beach No masks needed which is great Plenty of pools to choose from and same with the sun loungers, very spacious between other sun loungers they are put into either two’s, three’s or four’s, parasols are available. There’s are lots of shaded areas for those who don’t want to be in the sun or have children The pool area is very clean and tidy, with bins around and they have someone going around clearing rubbish from your table at your loungers Around the children’s splash park there is no smoking which is great, I can’t comment about other pool areas They have a waiter service with a man/woman on roller skates, he also comes around with water, there is a bar where you can get drinks from too and take them back to your loungers or sit there and have a drink or two I seen three lifeguards but none around the splash park/children’s pool which I’m surprised at as children can still drown in shallow water, I can now update that from the 14/09/20 a lifeguard was situated around the splash park area for 30 minutes then disappeared for the rest of the day No smoking around the splash park areas which is great a few people from other countries not understanding this There is a pool for accessible customers which has a seated hoist which is great for this with mobility issues It’s a couple of minutes walk if that you the beach which had its own private beach area and jetty, here you have cabanas that can be hired, sun loungers that are free to use, however be aware that quite a few are broken at the bottom edge which is sharp and dangerous especially for children There is a children play area which is under cover You can also book water sport rides and a boat trip which would cost 300 lira per adult and 200 lira per child Entertainment/Kids Club I would like to say that all the team were very pleasant and interactive, always let on and spoke to us Kids Club So off we went on our second night to Yin Yan Square basically the amphitheater where the kids club Mini Disco and other shows take place Took a while for our 3 year old to warm up but all in all she enjoyed it dancing away, however I would say and only down fall was that once it had finished the lights went out not only on the stage but around the seating areas and on t he steps which made it dangerous and very hard to see, these should be left ok so let that people can get out safely Kids club isn’t open during the day on a Sunday and when it is open only children under four can stay, really could be looked at and maybe three years upwards would be better, a lot of children including one one own was over three but under four and couldn’t go which was a shame There are two play areas with slides, swings and climbing frames which is great and are bother under cover. One at the splash park and the other at the beach Sports Bar (entertainment) They had entertainment on with singers, DJ etc they were really good and good variety of music our three year old was up dancing with other kids and was making new holiday friends Again here they have a waiter service but you can go to the bar, I didn’t see a queue for the few hours that we were there As the sports bar is kind of outside it’s was very hot and humid, they could have done with some air con or fans, but on a plus side it makes you drink more so defiantly getting your AI monies worth Yin Yang Square This is where the amphitheater is and to our disappointment there was no bar open, the closest was the beach bar but this was closed, the closest then was back near the main hotel building the Tea House which isn’t ideal No waiter service available waiter, they do how ever offer water on the way into the amphitheater which is ok but when you’ve paid and expect AI but have to walk to get it, this isn’t good So suggest getting drinks as you pass Unfortunately due to an incident in the pool area the entertainment was cancelled however no notification of this very disorganised Other Facilities/Near by Shops In the grounds of the hotel selling everything you could think of, shoes, handbags, clothing, footwear, jewellery, inflatables, snacks just to name a few. You do have to wear masks in these shops Also have onsite games room and bowling alley, kids loved the little rides you pay for credits and they get put onto a card and you just tap it on the reader on which ever ride or game you wang to use Across the road to the hotel there is a shopping mall, chemist, supermarket, tattooist, barbers, souvenir shops etc so ideal location
