What a great location this eye catching hotel is in. You can walk to so much from the doorstep or catch a free bus to the popular area for visitors that includes the Prado. And staying at the Riu Plaza Espana itself was great too. We had a lovely bright room on a corner of the building with excellent views over to the Royal Palace. We stayed here on a two week group tour in Spain and it was by far the best of the 4 places we stayed in Spain. Excellent room with comfortable bed and a great shower, restaurant for breakfast was outstanding for both food assortment and quality as well as service. Beautiful views from the rooftop bar. Everything and more we needed or could have asked for. Highly recommend...

I spent 3 days in Madrid during May 2026, since it was not our first time in Madrid, it's was our first time in the RIU Hotel. This majestic Building have a privileged location in the Gran Via, Madrid. We stayed in the 23rd floor with a great view to the Madrid Main Square and the rest of the city. Great Facilities, Intelligent elevators. Nice Rooftop among many other good things....

I have very high standards when it comes to hotel accommodation. I was so impressed with this hotel. The location was by far the best in the city. Its surrounded by great shops & restaurants whilst facing onto a stunning park. The staff were professional, friendly & couldnt do enough.
