      A grand total of seven swimming pools, each with a different atmosphere that ranges from lively to peaceful. A lazy river weaves around the leafy gardens and there are two artificial beaches to chill out on.

      The hotel's two buffet restaurants are open for breakfast and dinner and feature dishes from around the world. Only one is open for lunch and second buffet opens according to occupancy levels. An African themed evening takes place once a week where you can sample traditional African cuisine. Please note that the restaurants may not be open at the same time. Breakfast and dinner are included if you are staying half-board.

    Very nice hotel, except children area

    We were at the hotel for 1 week in late January 2020. The hotels is very nice, the rooms are very nice, the food is excellent and high quality. But wat drags the score down to 4 of 5, is the area for children. The concrete was broken in many places, and actually did hurt when walked on, the children area is very small. They have a very nice children club, with some super friendly girls running it. But Lopesan Baoban, you should really invest some money in upgrading the childrens area or at least repair it. It would be no problem for you to double the area, and install a small water slide or something, us families would LOVE it.

    We first went to the Baobab in it first season, loved it and have been going there since. It meets my three important requirements: its an excellent hotel, it is in close proximity to the centre of Meloneras and Meloneras is a beautiful resort with a great atmosphere and excellent restaurants. We were due to travel on March 10th and, despite the outbreak of coronavirus in the Spanish mainland and elsewhere, went ahead trusting all would be well in the Baobab. Five days later Spain was in shutdown but the Baobab was jus the right place to be during that period. The management and staff handled the situation with great professionalism and although we were confined to the hotel, we were very well looked after and the loss of pools and other facilities were compensated for with complimentary lunches and dinners. Luckily the grounds are spacious and these were available to guests for sunbathing and exercise. The management had done its homework very well and guests and staff were able to social distance comfortably without it affecting the enjoyment of the hotel experience. Well done to all involved. We look forward to being back there again soon and would recommend the BaoBab as being one of the very best in the resort.

    I want to thank all the staff at the hotel for doing an outstanding job during our stay last week. Although we weren't allowed to leave the hotel (except to go to the shop) and the pools had to close due to COVID-19, the staff continued to be friendly and professional and offer a first class service. The food was outstanding and the hotel spotlessly clean. Really looking forward to returning and having a 'normal' holiday at this outstanding place.

    Great design and spectacular pool area. Friendly staff and very clean hotel. Rooms are in good condition. Breakfast and dinner buffet is very good, the restaurant is cosy even it is pretty big. I can highly recommend this hotel.

    My husband and I have travelled the world to some beautiful places, but I have never stayed at a hotel so beautiful and outstandong as this! It is breathtaking, the layout, the decor, the sheer size and the service. Every member of staff you meet has a smile and a hello, from the cleaner to the front desk, the food is amazing, so clean everywhere, 7 pools!! The African feel is second to none, even animal noises being played! The food was lovely, always fresh, and a big variety. We were unfortunately here during lockdown of Covid19, how the hotel manged the situation was spot on and very professional...Cannot wait to return.
