The hotel is in an excellent location - just steps from the subway, a supermarket and Battery Park. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The room was warm, clean and comfortable, with regular housekeeping and a beautiful city view at sunrise and sunset. In-room amenities were very satisfying. Overall, we had no complaints and highly recommend this hotel to other travelers.

First time in a Doubletree in NYC and was suitably impressed! The welcome from the front desk was exceptional; warm, professional and funny - those ladies are a hoot! We arrived early morning and were given a room straight away - so appreciated after a 17hour flight - with warm cookies too.
The room is big by NYC standards, spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed and good shower pressure/lots of hot water and coffee...

Room was nice enough for a quick trip for a solo person. There were only three elevators in the building and they are very small and run slowly. The morning of checkout two of three elevators were not working. After waiting 20 minutes for an elevator to arrive at the 14th floor, I had to lug my heavy suitcase and my backpack down 14 flights of stairs. We enjoyed our time at Doubletree by Hilton New York Downtown. The rooms were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, with recommendations. The hotel is located close to the metro so it is easy to get anywhere in NY. I would definitely stay here again....

Disappointing for the high cost. Chose a different hotel.

Visited NY to celebrate my birthday and for site seeing.
Chose this hotel as back home (Uk) these are of very high standard.
Unfortunately this wasn't the case for this hotel.
The room was very small to say it was supposed to be a king sized bed room.
A very small wardrobe only big enough for 1 person.
