Had to get on and leave a review because some of the reviews made me second guess staying here. We arrived Tuesday before Thanksgiving and stayed through Sunday. We booked 2 rooms. Our girls room, the AC was making a loud squeaking noise when we got to the room. I called front desk and they had maintenance come up right away to fix the issue. Which was great! Although this place wasnt terrible, it didnt make us want to book it anytime again soon or record to others. We usually stay in higher end places when we come to New York, but we were looking for something relatively reasonable/close to Madison Square, Gardens. I had one of the worst hotel experiences here at Hampton Inn ManhattanMadison Square Garden Area. The room had visible mold, I found drug needles, and the shower bar was broken. This place felt unsafe and unsanitary from the moment I arrived. Definitely not what I expected from a Hilton-branded property, and I would never recommend staying here.

I used my card for a security deposit when checking in and paid for everything in advance via hotels.com.
I have since realised I have been charged $25 after checking out. So I will be chasing up as I dont understand what the charge is for. Everything was paid for in advance and when we checked out, staff said we were all good

Clean, but no frills. Stayed with my husband and two toddler age kids for the night and this Hampton Inn was exactly what we needed. A little tired around the edges, but that was to be expected. Good price, great location- blocks away from Penn Station. Solid service, although we didnt need much. Would stay again!...
