I will start by saying that this review makes me sad to leave! My husband and I have been Hilton Diamond members for years, as well as vacation club members. We believe in the Hilton Brand. BUT this hotel was NOT up to the Hilton Standards!! Good choice for Midtown

The hotel is a good a choice to be in midtown manhattan without having to sell any property of your own to pay for it.
Rooms are clean, they could use an update.
You can be several minutes waiting for the elevators in the mornings....

I read reviews before booking, but needed two beds and I was booking fairly last minute - not a lot of choices for my dates. And, even though I wasn't expecting real nice I was disappointed in the room - it didn't meet the standards and quality we've come to expect with Hilton. Furniture was damaged, scuffed, etc and air conditioning was barely keeping up with the heat outside- the room had a unique odor (not sure ...

Just completed a four day business stay while working in midtown. Heres why this place is perfect for a solo business traveler.
Pro:
The features in the app actually work. I bypassed the front desk with app check in and unlocked both the elevator and my door with my cell phone. These features seem to never actually work in other hotels.

I try to find something nice about any hotel I stay in because even if not good, there should be a redeeming quality, all I can think of that I can say nice about this hotel is that the shower has a shelf
In it, which is a lovely amenity.
That said, almost everything about this place is poor, and I am factoring in that it is NYC and people are not friendly to begin with.
