Good location and easy check in/out. The room was small but comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The place was clean, the bed was comfortable, and staff was friendly. There was some people loitering in front but security did a great job of moving them along and keeping the entry courtyard clear....

BEDBUGS! AVOID STAYING HERE

Do not stay at the Holiday Inn New York Times Square. I woke up covered in painful bed bug bites and found dead bugs in the room I have photo evidence. The staff and manager were rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional, refusing to move me at first and offering no medical help even after I told them I have an allergy. When I was finally moved, the new room was filthy with visible bed bug stains.

Great room, slow elevators.

Room was great! Decent size for being right downtown, two double beds and room for a single air matress on the floor if you needed it. Has a small fridge, coffee machine, ice, etc. No microwave. The only downside is how long it takes to get an elevator. 30+ floors and two elevators. They were great and held our luggage so we didn't have to carry it around all day while looking at sights....

Clean rooms for a convenient location near Penn station.

Not spanking new but overall clean and well maintained. Central to many Times Square District attractions and restaurants / cafes. Also walkable in about 8-10 mins to Penn station which may be a key plus.
Do note that front of hotel is a small public space which many street people hang out and around especially late at night and even early morning, some sprawled on the ground but the path walking out of hotel is...

lower floor room is terrible, no view and super noisy cant sleep at all! truly a nightmare

location is great, but I got a lower floor room on the 7th floor - trust me it's a complete nightmare. fire engines, police siren, all sorts of trucks and car noises.. just impossible to have some peaceful time, let alone to sleep. worst was I was travelling with a kid, he kept waking up by all sorts of noises as well. I requested for a higher floor but they said no.
I am truly disappointed!...
