If you are considering this hotel - do it!
We loved our stay here. The rooms are clean and big and the beds are really comfy. The location is brilliant if you dont want to be in the busy part of New York. It takes less than 2 mins to get to Subway and so quick to get to midtown (42nd Street) but it got us everywhere we wanted to go,

Reservation was not honored; rooms are fine

We were greeted quickly and politely and given a key to a room. The room was not the room that I had reserved, which had 2 specific elements that I had specifically researched, chosen, and paid for (15th floor or higher & King size bed).

We enjoyed a truly wonderful stay at the Beacon! Our room was clean, well maintained, and met our needs perfectly. Check-in was a breeze and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
