A very warm and friendly welcome after a 7 hour flight and an hour transfer from the airport in a very chatty New York driver.we were checked in promptly and our luggage was kept for our room to be ready.Off we went to Reys pizza shop for a well deserved meal.Thanks to Diana at the reception for a great service to organise our late check out time.Also thanks to Freilin for connecting me to the WiFi.

My wife and I visited New York for 5 days and stayed at the Riu Plaza Manhattan in Times Square.
The hotel was great, it was clean and the rooms were plenty big enough. We didnt experience wait times with the elevators, even given we were on floor 31 and it was Black Friday/thanksgiving weekend.

Great location for time square and subway. Very easy to get to from JFK, after getting the airtrain to Jamaica, and then you have a selection of subways to pick.
Rooms are spotlessly clean and cleaned daily by an amazing cleaning team, there are no carpets so great for asthmatics.
Lifts can be slow in the morning but once your aware of it, it makes it easier.

Stayed at this hotel when we visited New York for my husbands 60th Birthday celebrations.
On arrival after a long flight from Heathrow, check in was very easy and fast. We got to our room, 3903, to find it decorated with balloons and a banner for the Birthday Boy! We also had chocolates put in the room after we came back after a long day sightseeing. A very thoughtful touch.

My stay at Ruiz Times Square Hotel was extremely disappointing. The rooms have no amenities at allno complimentary water, no water kettle, no robes, no slippers. The rooms themselves feel empty and lifeless, with hard beds, an ugly and dirty floor, and a grimy phone and TV remote.
