Perfect modern base in the heart of the city!

We stayed at the Riu Plaza Manhattan Times Square, and we couldn't have been more impressed. We wanted a central base for our New York trip, and the location here is absolutely idealyou are right in the heart of Times Square and the Theater District, making it so easy to explore the city.

Stayed here for 5 nights during the UK Schools May Half Term in a family room for me, my wife and 3 kids (15;14;10).
Location was fantastic for us with most key tourist locations within 15 mins walk.
Family room was exactly what we booked and expected (we knew it would be cosy for the 5 of us but it's a City Break, after all). If I remember rightly, we were on floor 31 which gave us a nice view over the surroundin...

Great central location. Staff really friendly and helpful. Our room was on floor 15 at the back of the hotel. Great views and no noise at night! Aircon was great abd we slept so well despite the 38 degree weather.
Breakfast was a good start to the day and the cocktails at happy hour were lovely too.
Stayed with my 16 year old son and we had a fab time. Recommend....

I thought I had written my review but obviously hadnt.
I got to this hotel quite late and found the staff a bit 'rude and unhelpful' - not a great first impression. Walking in and out of this hotel daily and the staff would look up but there was no smile or 'hello' etc - it wasnt a great warm feeling.
The room was ok, small but then I was a solo traveller.
