Hotel Belcekiz Beach

Arrived at the Belcekiz Beach hotel after a very long transfer from the airport. Check in was efficient and we (ourselves and our friends) were taken over to our rooms across the road in the annex. Although the rooms were clean with good amenities etc, the fact they were on the ground floor surrounded by large trees and recessed underneath the balcony area of the rooms above meant they were extremely dark and dismal and the patio area was totally covered! We immediately went back to Reception and spoke to the staff plus the Tui rep, all very helpful, who said we could be moved but they couldn’t provide adjoining rooms for 2 nights. We accepted this and lived out of our suitcases for two days but it was worth the wait as our new rooms, in the main hotel on the first floor were beautiful! Great rooms, large, very comfortable king-sized bed, plenty of storage and a very pretty, if small, balcony overlooking the hotel next door. Food in the restaurant was of a good quality, always fresh and hot and there was always plenty of choice whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner. Wine/drinks were served by the waiters and sometimes, depending upon the waiter, we were topped up regularly and sometimes not. However, we had no complaints with the food, seating or staff. The entertainment was brilliant, especially some of the professional dancers on various nights. It was particularly good to have entertainment geared towards adults, especially after 10pm, which is very rare in all-inclusive hotels and one of my particular gripes. Even the quizzes and karaoke hosted by Air later in the Plaza bar in the evening were top notch! There didn’t seem to be much in the way of day time entertainment but as the International Air Games were taking place when we were there we had plenty to entertain us looking at all the paragliders coming down on the promenade/beach area outside the hotel – it was absolutely brilliant! We even took a local bus up to the mountain (Babadag) to watch the paragliders taking off and such was the journey up a very steep and narrow road with sheer drops at times we almost thought about paragliding back down instead of taking the bus!! We travelled in October so were towards the end of the season and I assume this is why the cushions on the sun loungers in the grounds were looking a bit grubby and some of the paths around the grounds looked as though they could do with a good jet-washing. The sunbeds on the beach reserved for Belcekiz guests were dreadful, mostly broken and without cushions. Although only a minor point I think it let down what was a good quality hotel with nice facilities. Once we had changed rooms we couldn’t fault the hotel, food or staff. In fact I think the staff are the making of this hotel, from the housekeeping and reception staff to the restaurant and in-house entertainment team. We would certainly return.

This hotel is great with very welcoming ,friendly staff who can’t do enough for you, it’s so relaxing if you want to be or you can join in the fun and games at times, location is right on Ölüdeniz deniz beach front so a very short walk to beach, the food is just to die for amazing deserts different every night been going here for years like a lot of others .
