    White sand and palm trees beckon guests to the Grupotel Alcudia Suites, a small block of family-friendly apartments.

    This hotel has a tempting pool scene – complete with separate children's section and playground – and the rooms have either a balcony or terrace each. The buffet restaurant serves an international and Mediterranean menu – alternatively, all the rooms and apartments have fully equipped kitchenettes for self-catering.

    On Majorca's north-east coast, the hotel is just a couple of minutes on foot from Playa de Muro's sands and strip of British-themed restaurants and bars. The Port of Alcudia is a 10-minute taxi ride for a fun day out. There's also a large maze park next to the nearby beach.

    Nice, big apartments and a nice pool area, but below average food in the cafe. Friendly and helpful staff . Apartment 219 had a big bathroom, 2 shower heads and plenty of room. A big balcony with a table and 3 chairs, and a clotheshorse. Bring or buy clothespins. The double bed is in fact two single beds pushed together. Hard mattress, but comfy.

    Lovely comfortable suites in a great location. Set back from main drag so quieter but just across from the beautiful beach. Staff, especially Santi on reception, couldn’t have been more helpful. As a woman travelling on my own for the first time this made a big difference. Food was varied and very good, with a wide selection of buffet dishes. Very fresh. Pool area lovely with hotel bar close by. Suite was very large and very clean with great shower, small kitchen and large terrace. Everything you could need for a wonderful holiday. Loved this place and hope to go back one day.

    Very good location for spending a week at the beach with a quite good selection in buffet provided in the form of all-inclusive. Friendly staff, clean rooms, free wifi, evening entertainment, good selection at the bar.

    Very nice, clean and children friendly hotel. The room was spacious, enough space for our two sons (7 and 4). We had Half board and both breakfast and dinner buffets were great - varied and tasty. Playa de Muro is very easy to access (150 m) and is absolutely perfect, especially for younger children. I can only recommend it and hope to come back again.
    A family hotel near the beach

    This hotel is nicely located close to the beach. We spent a 1-week holiday with a mindset that the beach would be most important. It was really hot so we didn't use the pool area but I gather that even being the peak season there were enough sun beds for everyone. Hotel staff was friendly. We took the halfboard which was nice as I can really recommend the breakfast and the dinner was also ok. A strange thing is that you need to pay for the drinks even if you have taken the half board - but we didn't mind. The area has enough restaurants for lunches and at the beach they even sell you fresh fruit - excellent!
