    The Riu Palace Maspalomas Hotel's got steam baths, open-air pools and fusion dining – all near a sand dune beach.

    This hotel has two large pools, one of which connects to an open-air bar serving drinks and tapas. For sit-down meals, there's a fusion à la carte restaurant and a buffet with a terrace. Adult activities include tennis, spa sessions and browsing for souvenirs at the hotel's shops. Kids will find their own pool and a playground, and live music and shows entertain in the evenings.

    Guests can cross Maspalomas’ sand dunes to reach the beach in 15 minutes on foot. The hotel's a five-minute drive from the middle of lively Playa del Inglés, known for nightclubs and watersports. There's a bus stop just outside the hotel for journeys to farther hotspots on the island.

    Arrived on March 12 but after 2 days in lockdown due to Coronavirus. Were able to use restaurant but not pool area. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and did their best for our shortened stay . So a big thank you to all of them.

    Everything was excellent from the beginning to the end of the Holiday. Staff were extremely attentive, food was great with a comprehensive choice at dinner. Pool area and gardens were always spotless, and we’ll tendered Breakfasts were relaxing on the sunny outdoor terrace.

    Regretably has to cancel my latest booking due to this terrible virus. I just wanted to wish everyone there goo dhealth and I hope the government does enough to keep yoru wonderful Hotel functioning and your staff in employment. Thinking of you in the UK and we hope to see you again once the virus is banished. We will then do our best to double our stay and spending to make up for this terrible period.
    Ideal destination for a Winter break

    This hotel set above the dunes is an ideal location especially in the Winter months to get away from the rain & grey skies of home. Cleanliness & staff cannot be faulted. Breakfasts set you up for the day , cooked items could be hotter but such a range - the cereals, yoghurts,fruit juices, bread rolls, pastries, cold meats etc etc...Dinner in 2 sittings - we prefer the 6 o'clock allowing time to walk along the front after or stroll up to play crazy golf in the centre! If you get the right rooms wonderful views over the dunes to the sea or towards Faro. Once visited you will want to return - we did!

    This hotel is in my opinion a five star hotel just because of the facilities. We was woken up every morning around 07, because of noise from outside. The rooms are not very sound proof, and there’s a big leap under the door. You have to pay extra, 22 Euro, to use the safe in the room. You will probably enjoy the entertainment in the evening if you’re above 70. We tried the restaurants in the hotel, the Krystal is good, but don’t go the the Spanish restaurant. What we got there were really not good food at all! The staff is friendly, but next time I’ll stay clear of Riu. I guess this was our one and only visit to one of their hotels.
