Disappointing Hotel Stay

When we arrived at the hotel we were told we couldn't have the room in the main part of the hotel that we booked and were upgraded to a bigger room as if it was a good thing. Unfortunately it was in another building that didn't have a lift and was at the very top. Being in our 60's this was challenging to say the least.

We came as two couples, 9th to 13th March 2026, and had rooms 202 and 302 (delux rooms) in the annex, which is basically next door to the main building.
The rooms were very spacious, light and airy with fantastic views of the astronomical clock and the old square.
Staff were very attentive and couldnt do enough for us. Big shout out to the porter as its no mean feat for him having to carry heavy bags around the hot...

Worst hotel Ive ever visited. First room (104), was a separate part of the main hotel, up several flights of stairs, then down a couple of flights and back up another flight of stairs to a large but dirty room. Asked to move rooms to the main hotel, now in a room towards the back of the main hotel, on the first floor. Noise all night, windows dont have any sound proofing, as we are over an alley I have heard severa...

When we complained that the room had no windows, we were told that itnwas not their job to make customers happy. Nasty employees for a four star hotel
Good location, good breakfast buffet, terrible customer service. Would not recommend this hotel....

We returned after an excellent stay approx 12 years ago. Complete different experience this time around. We arrived late evening & our room was not ready - the porter brought us to it & we had to point out that the bed was unmade. We were then transferred to an alternative room (lower class / value) in another building & told our booked room would be ready the following day. We moved to our booked room the next day ...
