If you are looking for a place to stay in Riga, I would definitely recommend the Wellton Hotel Riga. It has the best location you can imagine, with a few minutes' walk to the Old Town or the Central Train Station. We booked a Mansard room as we wanted to be on the top, 8th floor. The Wellton Riga Hotel and Spa is in a good location and very accessible to the old town. We took the bus 22 from the airport, which cost 1.50 euro and stops opposite the hotel and on the way back it stops outside the hotel.
Lots of cafes and restaurants around and a very walkable city.
Before arriving we requested a room with a shower for health reasons and also told the hotel that one of the party had a birthday...

Good location and breakfast, ok spa

Check-in was slow and the receptionist had flu and seemed feverish. I had to separately ask about breakfast and spa opening hours myself, as he didn't actively inform about anything. This could be due to being ill at work, but maybe he would be better staying at home in that case. The female receptionist was very lovely and smiling.
They offered a free welcome drink, which was nice.

Second time i was staying and really enjoyed it. My room was nice, especially few out of my window.The staff was very friendly and professional.. Breakfast was lovely,food was excellent.
