Stayed at the hotel for three nights and we really enjoyed our stay. Our room was a standard double and it was comfortable and the bathroom was modern with an excellent shower. There are tea/coffee making facilities provided - and a fridge. In the corridor near the lift there was also a water dispenser. Nice touch.

Our twin bedded room was a great disappointment. Nothing like the photos on the website. The cord on the electric kettle was in a dangerous state and the kettle itself would sometimes not work. One teabag! The wooden stick given for stirring was not replaced after our first day. Nothing for the bottom of the bath to stop slipping which was of great concern. Hotel Universo offers good accommodation conditions, but its main strength is its excellent location, very close to Termini Station and the ease with which you can reach Romes main tourist attractions, even on foot.

Great Hotel But Be Careful With Who You Make Your Booking

Don't book this hotel on booking.com because it can get cancelled. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. That was my experience. I arrived at the hotel on December 14th and was told that my reservation had been cancelled by booking.com on December 10th (of course booking.com blames the hotel for cancelling the reservation).
