Old and in need of some serious updating!

Kind of dated and not very inviting. Front desk was "ho hum" without any enthusiasm for its guests. I read on an earlier review that they were offered drink tickets for the bar. We were given nothing but our room key. Location was poor unless you want to be near the bus terminal. The common "living room" area was shabby and uninviting. We did a food tour in Trastevere, it was charming and if we ever go back it'...

Please save your money and do not stay at this awful hotel. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in September and I can honestly say it is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed at. The staff are rude and unhelpful. The WiFi does not work. The air conditioning does not work, and it is very rude that they do not bother to inform the guests or offer any back up like fans. It gets very hot in Rome and we were not able ...

Terrible stay - not sure if it was because we were traveling with a big group of extended family that mostly didn't speak fluent English, they stuck us the worst rooms or rooms that were problematic. Broken AC, or no hot water in shower and asked to shower in a different room then return to assigned one to sleep, and the worst was one that looked like a staff employee bedroom (photo attached), tiny and worn down.

We booked based on the recommendation of friends who have stayed at the property multiple times over the years. What a disappointment. They happened to be visiting at the same time and were so apologetic. There has been a change in management and staff and it really shows. Do not stay here! This was the worst hotel I ever stayed in. The room was not clean and smelled terrible. The walls were filthy and we found dirty socks behind the curtain. Also, the bathroom was disgusting. It's close to the Rome train station but very far from everything else....
