Great Hotel and wonderful front desk staff

This is a great hotel in a great location. First and foremost- Marcella at the front desk is wonderful. She noticed my husband was in pain and immediately gave us a room. No wait, no questions. Just helped us. She also upgraded us so Id have a place to rest and not bother him. The rooms are clean, they have water in the lobby and a small sweet to eat. They also have wash clothes. They are about 15 minute walk ...

We arrived in Florence on a Saturday and when our taxi pulled up to this magnificent hotel, we knew this was going to be the best ever. We were warmly greeted at the door and immediately the staff helped with our luggage. My husband and I ended up with a couple medical issues and they were sincerely concerned! One of the worst and most overpriced hotels Ive ever been to.
The lobbys outdated decor was matched by a foul stench! The staffs incompetence was baffling, and their lack of interest was even worse!
The breakfast was a disaster with stale bread, cold bacon, laying in oil, all four coffee machines did not function, and again the staff was completely unable or unwilling to provide a decent service!...
