I am with most other reviews on here. The Hotel needs a refurb, that I won't deny.
Helvezia is probably in the best location we could have wished for on our first visit to Rome. Maybe my idea of Rome is old world charm, & this grand old hotel, built at the end of the 1800's certainly fulfilled that vision for me. I stayed at Hotel Pace Helvezia in March 2024. The hotel is in a great location, about 20mins walk to Colluseum, 10mins walk to Trevi Fountain and around the corner from Plazzo Venezia. It's a 25min walk from the main train station. The hotel has an old-world charm about it. The room was spacious with a double bed. A very good location with great views from the roof terrace. The hotel however would benefit from a complete renovation. I dont think its a 4* property when you go into other 4* hotels in Rome. The rooms and communal areas are in great need of an upgrade.
Saying that the hotel is clean and tidy and the staff are really pleasant....

Pros: This hotel was in a fantastic location!! About a 20 min walk from termini station. 5 -15 min walk to pantheon, Trevi fountain and many other monuments. Breakfast was included. 24hr staff at the desk in lobby. The room had aircon and a small bar fridge.

Hotel is situated close walking distance to the Trevi fountain, colosseum, Spanish steps and others. The Vatican City is around a 15 min bus ride. The hotel is super clean and the concierge are very helpful. The breakfast is sufficient. The coffee is from a machine and really isnt very good at all.
